Owner description: The Mudgee Honey Haven is one of Mudgee's premier tourist attractions with a range of experiences for the whole family. With the widest selection of honeys available you can taste trial each variety of honey before you decide on your favourites. Even the kids get to have a good time with a game of putt putt on our new 18 hole course. They'll also love watching the bees hard at work through a special glass window which shows a cross section of a real working bee hive. There's a wide selection of gifts, crafts and pottery and local Mudgee produce for which the region is well known. If wine tasting is more your style, sample some of our honey wines and liqueurs. And if that's not enough, why not enjoy a cuppa, coffee or light meal at the adjoining Honey Haven Cafe - the food's fresh and home baked. The first stop for the discerning tourist, the Mudgee Honey Haven has it all.

This is a lovely place to visit, with lots of yummy things to purchase and take home with you. There are jams, honey, dressings etc, all of which can be sampled. Coffee is good, as are the scones!

It is the visitor centre who suggested us to go there. The place is insignificant, they sell more jams and honey you can find in any supermarket, and their own choice of products is boring and quite standard. You can taste the honey and that will confirm that!

The people there were very unpleasant, you can clearly tell they don't enjoy their time working there...When I asked if there is any visit or explanation on how they produce the different varieties of honey, they told me to check the TV playing a video and asked if I wanted to experiment being bitten by a bee. Wow!!! I believe there are other ways to explain visitors that there is nothing else but that cheap shop only...

They were very rude and inpolite, although I bought things there. No need to tell, I regretted straight away...
Don't waste your time there....

Hi Clementite thank you for your review, , i have seen your review of our property in Mudgee NSW.

I am very upset to hear how your experience was when you did visit.
But i do not understand what you are leading to when you say,
"they sell more jams and honey you can find in any supermarket" ISNT this what your looking for, We are known for selling honey and jams, WHAT were you looking for?

Also i am concerned that you wanted to pick on points rather then help address issues , which visitors and business owners are actually looking for through the Proper use of TripAdvisor.
I also strongly disagree with your review of my shop, we have friendly staff, great products from all around Mudgee and surrounding towns.
We Try to help out all local operators that make Jam, Olive oils and other great products ,
and not at any time would someone agree to let you be stung by a bee in the live box.

I also didn't like your comment
"Don't waste your time there...." This is not how you treat local business that are trying to stay alive in this tuff time.!!!
