We stayed in Maggies cottage and had such a great long weekend. It is really comfortable with bathrooms for each of the bedrooms and really comfortable beds, but what really makes it is the little touches like the bread they give you every day or the port they leave out for you to drink.

Being based here meant we could have a great weekend exploring the region, knowing we could come back to our house for a BBQ or a peaceful afternoon.

Highly recommended.

We stayed at Calving Gully cottage for two nights. You can tell great care has gone into the creation of the cottages. The kitchen has everything you could need, the bath is the perfect size and the location is wonderfully quiet and scenic. Chris was the perfect host, invisible most of the time but immediately responded whenever we needed help and went out of his way to accommodate us.

We had a fantastic weekend in Mudgee and would highly recommend these beautiful cottages just out the town and Yes we'll definitely be back! We stayed in Blackman's Cottage, a two bedroom cottage with a potbelly stove that warms the entire cottage - loved it!

Thanks Mark, hope the race went well. I note you took a dot off for location and value: we think the location is a plus so can't improve there, but the value can be bettered if you book direct in future.
Thanks again.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed in the Calving Gully Cottage and it was just divine. The hot breakfast provisions and bread was yummy, and the kitchen is amply stocked for your basic weekend cooking. Very comfy bed, plenty of wood for the pot belly fire, and the decor is just lovely. We had dinner out on the Friday night, but opted to stay in on Saturday night. We paid extra for some soup to be delivered. Chris popped around in the afternoon to confirm what time we would like our dinner, and other than that we didn't see anybody and were left alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. The soup was delicious, we even had left-overs for breakfast with the yummy bread. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to any couple wanting a secluded weekend away.

Thanks for the great review, and the photos are fabulous, even better than the ones we've taken for our new website.
It's good to get comments as we don't often get the opportunity to experience the cottages from your perspective.

Exactly what you need to get away from it all. Beautiful, peaceful & private surroundings. Enjoy a vino sitting outside taking it all in. Gorgeous little cottage with a pot belly fire & super comfortable bed. Can't wait to come back!

Thank you Chris for your wonderful hospitality. We had a lovely time in your warm, comfortable cottage. The fire warmed up the whole cottage on a cold Mudgee weekend - it was hard to drag ourselves away from the comfort of Maggie's to venture into town. Staying out of town added to the "getting away from it all" feeling - but still only a 15 minute drive into town for shopping and dining out. The upstairs bedrooms are a real treat with the en-suite bathrooms and views. Thank you for the home baked bread and jam. You have thought of everything. It was a lovely break away for four Sydney mums.

Room Tip: 3 large bedrooms makes this a perfect cottage for 3 couples or 3 singles; The 4th person/couple sle...

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage. You feel like in the early 20st century - but with all the modern comfort of today.
So much attention to detail, beautiful surroundings, close to wineries and town - plus gorgeous homemade bread and jams!
