Bill and Terri were fantastic and the place is super convenient and just simply perfect to stay at. The breakfast was just amazing too.

Room Tip: We had the Yellow room on the ground floor and it was great

Just occasionally the accommodation is one of the real highlights of a trip, and so it was at Beverley House, a beautiful old house close to the centre of Mudgee. Its delightful owners, Terry and Bill, have furnished it with an extraordinary assemblage of antiques, and it took a few minutes to tear our eyes away and realise that this wasn't really a B&B at all; it was a huge suite and B. We were travelling with friends, and together we took over much of the ground floor with each couple having a living room, dining area, kitchen area and bedroom with ensuite - not to mention the patio. A fire was already lit when we arrived, and Terry welcomed us with wine, cheese and fruit. But this was nothing. Breakfast next morning was an experience never to be forgotten. Bill and Terry arrived bearing pancakes, fruit and yoghurt, beautifully arranged on individual plates. This was followed by a perfectly cooked and presented full English breakfast. A jug of fresh orange juice was in our fridge. And what's more, we stayed 3 days and each breakfast was different. We had only one minor niggle - as caffeine-fuelled Sydneysiders we felt the breakfasts did deserve real coffee.

From the moment we walked in the front door we were at home. A warm welcome from Terry and we were shown into our room on the ground floor. Cheese, fruit and wine served in our living room set us up nicely for heading out to dinner.

Beverley House is just a couple of minutes stroll from the Mudgee Town Centre, but you won't want to leave the house. Beautiful antique pieces adorn each room. The sofa and the bed in our room were both so comfortable.

Breakfast - served at a time of your choosing and each day is a surprise sensation. Day 1 - Round 1 - Blueberries and perfect poached pears with vanilla creme yoghurt, exquisitely presented. Round 2, Bacon, sausage, tomato, asparagus and the lightest, fluffiest egg on wholegrain toast, No need for lunch today.

Day 2 - Round 1 - a perfect crepe with strawberries, banana and yoghurt. Round 2 - Bacon, wonderful mushrooms, perfect poached eggs and tomato on English muffins. Nope - didn't need lunch today either.

The place is amazing, the hosts are wonderful, the breakfasts sensational. We WILL be back.

Room Tip: Yellow room downstairs - gothic bed - quiet and private patio.

One of those towns I had been wanting to visit for ages, we finally got there, randomly picked it from trip advisor. The decor is antiquey & a bit gauche but you've got to love it. Very close to the town. The owners organized dinners for us at vineyards. were extremely friendly & helpful. BUT the best was the breakfasts, they were to behold, amazing & mouthwatering. That personal touch that was there, if needed but not in yer' face.
The funny thing is though, while driving to Mudgee you go through Capertee or there abouts & I said to my wife it's like time has slowed & she has the same feeling. It was like we weren't putting the kilometres behind us. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, wierd.

We're stayed at Beverley House on numerous occasions and always take our overseas guests up for a visit - the area is wonderful and this property has to be seen to be believed, Our guests are always amazed at the furnishings and overall surroundings. Everyone usually photographs the breakfast (enough said!!); the aviary is a treat for overseas visitors; the pool is good for an early morning dip. Hosts are the epitomy of what B&B owners should be - they should give lessons!
Be prepared to be amazed!

Room Tip: They're all good!
