“short stay but not short enough”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

The hotel was fine, rooms small but modern more than adequate food very poor but breakfast excellent amenities in hotel very good problem was the area full of very drunk slightly intimidating german gangs of young men very very loud day and night, this had nothing to do with the hotel the pictures I seen found an excellent bar just at the end of the street in the Marina a little expensive but worth every penny as there were no leather hosen clad idiots sat around BUCKETS !!!!! of spirits ? one thing to be careful of in the hotel was that the water was extremely hot make sure you start it on cold and keep trying it before you get in.

I had booked the Palma Bay Hotel and was upgraded to this 4* hotel in the same area and run by the same firm MLL. It was a lovely hotel, good food, always something to choice from - soup, salads, fish, meat, pasta, rice and normal cakes. All staff were hard working and helped in the restaurant and bar - hence you had to go find the bar man!! Need to do something on snacks as we could only have a sandwich between 3.00pm and 6.00pm. Rooms lovely and cleaned everyday - not much cupboard space. Body gel and hair dryer supplied and also use of fridge at no extra cost. Entertainment on twice but same man singing both times but had a good time.
Went to Palma twice as weather not very good - well worth a visit. Arenal has a lovely sea front and you can walk for miles. The only down side to us is that we visiting Arenal approx 10 years ago and found it to have about half british / half german but it is all german now and all bars / restaurants are geared up to this. Go for a walk past the marina and turns into a lovely cliff top walk. Well worth it for the views.

We have returned for a second visit, just as good as as the first, staff very hard working and food and drinks very good, just a hint to the hotel, perhaps a bell on the bar for when the staff are helping elsewhere in the quiet times, saves having to go look for them to serve us our drinks.

Am just about to leave, after a four night break with my partner. Am very hapoy with our stay, place is spotlessly clean, food was always varied and fresh. Room slightly small, but very clean and the shower is fantastic, only down point is no entertainment whatsoever in the evening , but only a short walk to the seafront where there is a array of bars , clubs and restaurants . Overall I would recommend a stay here

Could do with more entertainment on a evening – 1 night out of three not enough.

Food could do with more choice for veggies – and could be served a bit hotter having to use a microwave to warm up.

Locked up in a bath room for an hour before being set free and not even an applogy not good enough

Drinks good and liked the real coke!!

Stayed for 4 nights with a friend. The hotel is 4 star and some aspects of it like the rooms are 4 star. The food def isn't 4 star. The meat was not very tender and most hot food really wasn't very hot. Some of it was quite good like the Broccoli soup and the fresh bread. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and hard working. tables were cleared promptly. I got stuck in the bathroom the first night at 2 am for an hour until a workman came and opened the door with a crowbar. I was quite upset and insisted on moving rooms. When I went to reception the next morning the manager's response was "it's never happened before". What I really wanted was an apology or a gesture of some sort. Although it is early in the season I do think they could have done with some more entertainment. There was just a Spanish singer Ivan playing the organ on the Saturday night. There was nothing to keep you in the hotel bar on other nights but perhaps that was what they wanted! My other complaint is that for all-inclusive it was extremely difficult to get a drink during the day. You had to go searching for a barman. Also, there was no food or snacks outside of restaurant hours. Would I recommend it? Yes, for a short break it was good value for money but don't think I could spend a week there!

Booked full board stay Monday to Friday 15th to 19th April , hotel situated at far end of Arenal away from Palma up a fairly steep road about 250m from beach everything was neat and tidy looks as though completely revamped in recent years lots of new marble tiles , room same as hotel neat and tidy not huge but okay the bathroom had walk in wet room shower which first class pool and sauna at rear of hotel a large hot pool at front of hotel , breakfast and lunch were buffet and pretty standard holiday fare dinner at night similar but the most disappointing of all the meals ,we upgraded to all inclusive for 10 euros per day this used to be for the gold package but not now, the bar was not always manned , all in all would still come back to this nice hotel

Room Tip: Rooms at front are liable to hear some noise whilst rooms at rear maybe hear noise from smokers out...
