We were wanting a cheap late break and thomson booked this for us.It was certainly cheap 350 for 2 ,bed &breakfast for 7 days.we arrived at 2am the room was basic with 3 single beds pushed together[we asked for a double but no matter]Alarm bells started ringing when i saw the fag burns on the bed cover&when we pulled the cover down the sheets were damp and smelly [at that point i cried]had to sleep on a towel on top of the bed.my husbands sheets had make up on them.we had a third of a toilet roll in the bathroom and there were no plugs for bath or sink.if your down to breakfast at the wrong time theres no bread for toast and no boiled eggs[so we didnt bother with that]went to the pub around the corner
thank god for the beach its lovely
If your going to theTEIDE I would advise taking TOILET PAPER[we had 4 days without] TOWELSand SHEETS[ its no smoking and theres no air conditioning]

Arenal would not be my first place of choice to stay but as we booked another hotel already for a couple of days later in a more ¨quiet¨" area we decided to check out this side of the Island.
Hotel Teide has a modern lay out with a very nice chill out area with a great little pool (although not that much sun warming it at that time of the year)
The room was spartan but adequate, so was the shower/bath/toilet. Our room was very clean and smelled nice, it also had a small balcony overlooking the pool. Thin walls!
Breakfast was great with fresh breadrolls, pastries, eggs, salami, cheese, juice, coffee thee etc etc Considering the off season price we paid for Hostel Teide we were pleasantly surprised by the overall service provided. Staff were considerate, helpful and friendly to talk to. And good priced drinks at bar!
Maybe a five minute walk to the beach, plenty of dining options, plenty of shops and in the highs season plenty of people and noise but not so in the Off season. We enjoyed.
This was off season,no doubt things are different when the high season starts....
I gave this hotel a good rating also considering the very attractive rate we paid.
If you expect hairdryers, luxury items in the bathroom and maid service etc etc than look elsewhere.

Room Tip: if you like pool view ask for it

Unfortunaltely 2 of us went for a desperately needed 7 days of rest. Got there quickly as it is very close to Palma airport but there was no way you could rest in the hotel. It was over crowded with young drunks who partied day and night for all 7 days(mostly Germans-no offence). It wouldn't be a problem as the beach is close and gorgeous, and the weather was unbelievably hot, but any time we would go back to the hotel (to change, shower or sleep) it was unbearably noisy; music was pumping, the doors were being slammed or somebody would knock the doors opposite your room over the course of the whole night. Receptionists would come to sort out the issues but only to make things worse as nobody speaks english only spanish or german so it would only become even more loud and noisy as they would argue. The food offered (we only luckaly prebooked breakfast) was very limited but lets say after the noisy night coffee would be enough anyway! Generaly the place El Arenal is lovely as the locals are very friendly offering nice and fresh fruit and tapas, and the weather covers for all the troubles.
Hotel is bad if you need a rest, it is very old and needs restauration badly! Staff is polite and the room was cleaned every day. No TV, air con or telephone of course, but balcony(with the wall view), a bath, and comfortable beds yes. Wouldn't recommend it but we booked it very last minute so there was not many available so it was worth seeing the island and spend endless time swimming and at the beach.

There should be a warning about this hotel, its a hell hole & it makes the slums look posh. I can't believe they are allowed to advertise this hotel spent a week there and cried.
It was full of people from Holland Germany shouting and getting drunk. We had to buy a fan as there was no air conditioning and were ordered to pay more for the room. We told them we had paid the travel company but they would not have it. One of the staff members goes round banging on the doors at night it is a very scary place to stay.
I wish I had read the reviews about this place before I wasted my time and money never again !

Stayed at this place in August 2006. It actually has an ideal location - very close to the beach, shops and just near one of the finest restaurants in Mallorca (20 m far). The rooms are pretty basic but more spacious then even some of the hotels with higher rating. Even though there was no fan or airconditioning, it was not a "must" - just leaving door slightly open during the night was sufficient. Bathroom was a pleasant surprise, and terrace as well. No phone, fridge or anything like that. Rooms are clean and nice, lots of wardrobe space. Public toilets of this hotel could benefit from restoration and more cleansiness. It is ideal for young people - has internet, pool, snooker, darts, small cafe. The only thing which was a serious minus was the guy working in night shift - after 10 o'clock he would go rampaging the hotel and banging on the door if he heard anybody talk, laugh or listen to the music - which basically woke up even those people who were sleeping at the time. Very annoying. This would go on even at 2 am. Otherwise the day shift are nice and polite women who will help you with everything.
Besides the unpleasant moments with the guy in night shift, definitely a place I could recommend for the money it costs.

Please DO NOT stay at this hotel, and save yourself from the torment I am currently going through.

After returning to our room on our final night with 2 friends, we stayed up for a little while into the early hours chatting and playing quiet music on some mini-stereo speakers. All of a sudden, the receptionist on duty forces himself into the room, shouting Spanish about how we were making too much noise, and physically pushed us out of the room. He ignored our pleads for us to 'please have our bags' and proceeded to push us down the corridor (aggresively) and down the stairs. He then threw us out of the hotel and locked the door.

We spent the next hour outside, watching him on the inside. Then, for about 10 minutes, he disappeared from sight. He returned, unlocked the door and let us back in telling us 'go to sleep'. We happily agreed and went to our rooms quietly. Coincidentaly, upon returning to the room, my camera and lenses (worth £1500), mp3 player, mobile phone AND passport are all missing.

The rest of the hotel staff were all very unhelpful when trying to contact the police, and I eventually had to get an emergency passport home and now have the huge hassles of getting new passports and belongings.
