Second time, been here last year, typical spanisch kitchen, menu del dia for less than 10euro, good and simple honest food and friendly service, no bling bling, just good food!

We were staying just up the road from this lovely small restaurant. A wet evening in Roses which was certainly warmed up by the unexpected surprise of a lovely 3 course meal in pleasant, arty surroundings and very friendly staff. Each day the menu changes depending on market availability but the chef uses his skill to makes extremely presentable presentable dishes that we both enjoyed. A lovely experience and Would certainly recommend this one to all. Please go and visit and experience an experience away from the tourist standard menu.Well worth it. We will definitely go back.

Came upon this restaurant after walking a while through Roses on a cool Monday evening. Lots of places were closed but these guys were open and there were no other customers. The concept is simple enough a mixed tapas starter with no choice then a choice out of three main dishes. We both had something different for our main dish but both dishes were equally disappointing especially considering there was no one else there. The staff were lovely and very friendly but the food was not great.

Our experience was mixed. The waiter/owner? was very friendly and chatty. The menu was extremely limited. Everything is fixed price with a base of 3 main courses. It was explained that the menu was dependent on availability in the market, but it seemed odd that there was so little available in the market. On our night, there was a fried fish, eel stew and something else. The fish was basic and excellent, the eel stew was very plain and regular. We had ordered the top menu which came with an enlarged appetizer plate that was very good. For desert, we were offered lemon meringue pie, sliced pineapple and cheese with honey. They only had one piece of pie (yet we were the second party of the night in the restaurant) which was delicious, but the pineapple in berry sauce was at best mediocre. One puzzling element is that other parties coming in after us had very different things for appetizers and main courses. Be aware, CASH ONLY.

A nice cosy bistrot with an interesting chef owner, great sense of humour, come out of his kitchen to say hello, a hard working chef who love fresh food, and he can cook properly, retain flavour in the dishes, great value, good service. We went twice and enjoy twice. Bon appetit.
