We went on a schooltrip to Catalonia for 4 nights, and stayed at this hotel.
The staff was mostly friendly, but sometimes a bit "tourist" friendly.
The food was tasty, and there was a lot of choice every night. There were also some basic vegetarian options like baked beans, grilled eggplant... Wine and water were included in the meal.
We slept in one small room with 4 students, but it had a balcony. The room was cleaned every day, and so was the shower and toilet.

The reason we stayed there is because my daughter was doing an internship. I don´t know if that disqualifies me for making a review but I´ll write it anyway. We had stayed in that hotel two seperate times. It can be poorly located or nicely located. It all depends on what you like. The marina and canals were closer to the hotel than the beach. I personally like the beach better, which really wasn´t more than a kilometer away. If you like renting jet skis or boats it´s great.
The reception estectically looks inviting, it´s the use of internships in practice that makes it slow. They obviously were overusing the priviledge in this hotel for it seems the staff in reality were almost made up of nothing but internships with a supervisor showing up every once in a while.
Prestige hotels have 3 hotels in close proximity of each other with a general supervisor for all 3 hotels. They did get a high grade as a hotel for families with children. They had loads of activities at scheduled times. Being a hotel geared for children it obviously couldn´t keep up with the demand and necessity for a good cleaning program. In the heat of the battle ice cream ends up in places where it doesn´t belong. The heat was pounding and even like that I wouldn´t touch that pool water. Maybe I´m sensitive but it looked not very inviting. It´s obviously a `place I wouldn´t choose to stay unless there were a motive to do so. If you have kids and are watching the budget it might be okay. As far Roses is concerned I personally feel that it´s been over rated and over focused as a tourist destination of quality. The whole area is run down, that goes to include the rest of the town. However I´m not a bar fly nor do I like the night life. That´s just my opinion. It has a great night life. There is live music music, even in Goya park. The entertainers were a higlight not so much for their talent but for their creativity in interacting with the listeners. They did have a couple that were really fun. Unfortunetly we didn´t eat in the restaurant. People talked well of it and that´s all I can say on that matter. If you have kids from 5 to 14 this place is great. If you hate kids and noise go some place else.

Room Tip: We had a room without air conditioning. Thinking back i don´t know if there were other rooms with a...

We stayed here as a stop over whilst riding in france/spain cant fault the Hotel but i'm a young 50's and my partner is late 40;s and we were i ithink the youngest there and felt so out of place, not sure if we hit a old age convention but it was not a good place to stay if ya young at heart, but other than this good hotel all round.

Room Tip: Get on floor 7/8/9 to avoid old time music and out of tune singer.

Very nice and clean with very large rooms, great outside lift experience. The buffet food was lovely and plenty of it with lots of varieties of meat ,fish and vegetables. Entertainment was good and the bar prices quite cheap.

Nice place for families in Roses. People charming, hotel super clean, food delicious. Cheap hotel with full equipment : swimming pool, games... Entertainement in the hotel a little bit disappointing though.

I stayed here for 5 nights on a school trip. I realise we were with a school group, but our kids are very well behaved and were very respectful of the other guests, despite our horrible stay.
Every person on reception, regardless of the day or time was rude and unwilling to be accommodating in any way. We spoke Spanish, so it wasn't that we weren't trying.
The rooms were a joke. I couldn't believe that they would consider the rooms/beds to be anything more than a glorified hostel. They were lumpy, so uncomfortable and moved if you turned in your sleep. This made for the worst night's sleep ever considering that there was no soundproofing between floors, so if the person upstairs had a bad dream, it woke you up.
The hotel is booked for groups, which is fine, but they've overshot their limits by having school groups from all over and seniors touring groups in the same hotel. Very strange.
A few people wrote about how bad the food was, but to be honest, i found it quite edible and some things were even very good. The free wine at dinner made the whole stay just a bit more bearable and that, along with the very friendly and nice man who greeted us at all the mealtimes and the friendly housekeeping staff is the only reason I didn't give this one star.

If you can, avoid this place at all cost.
I can't believe the chain of hotels that it belongs to has the audacity to call itself 'Prestige'.

STAY ANYWHERE ELSE - EVEN CAMPING!!! You'll get a better night's sleep!

Like so many Costa Brava hotels, the Goya Park appears on first sight to promise a good experience, but fails to deliver. As has been noted elsewhere, the restaurant is frankly dreadful. Cold, unappetising fare: no attempt at service, just help yourself. Breakfasts are almost inedible. Evening entertainment is raucus and only tolerable after one's second bottle of wine. Rooms are adequate, but stale-smelling (in winter) and the bathroom had a rich odour of drains in the morning. Hot water took for ever to arrive and there was poor pressure. Parking was on the street or waste ground, with no surveillance. The front door of the hotel ceases to function if there is a wind. Reception staff are coldly efficient: no welcome. The free wifi area downstairs is shut off for cleaning until at least 9.00 a.m. so it is impossible to read the paper or plan the day. No pluses at all: not even cheap.

Room Tip: You will be pushed to find one.
