This was our third trip to the Moraleja after two wonderful holiday visits. The hotel is now under new management and unfortunately the evening meal is not what you would expect in a five star hotel. The service in the restaurant was so slow. We waited over an hour every meal to be served our main course.
The soup tended to be salty and tasteless and although the standard of the ingredients was ok the cooking and the sauces left much to be desired. If they get a new chef we will be back as the rooms , service and general ambience of the hotel are second to none.

We have just returned from a long weekend break at this hotel and can only agree with the reviews left by the majority of the contributors with the exception of one who likened it to a museum with time warp guests, some people unfortunately do not have any taste. This hotel is total quality from the furnishings to the service. During our stay the guests were 30+ being couples and some single guests all of whom were of a like mind looking for relaxation in quality surroundings. The two pool areas have ample space for all the guests to have some privacy, there are indoor and outdoor dining areas. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and the breakfast is exceptional. All the management and staff are helpful and friendly and the service is excellent. The rooms are very large and the first floor suites have terraces with views across the valley towards the bay. This is the most comfortable and relaxing hotel we have stayed at in years, and we would certainly recommend it to all our friends.
However if you want loud music, screaming children and kiss me quick hats this is not the place and I would suggest somewhere in Magaluf !

Room Tip: Junior suites on the first floor are excellent

This place is lovely, chidren free!. We received an upgrade an were put in a junior suite. Breakfast was out on the terrace and waiter service bespoke and pink fizz if you wanted it. The lounges and corridors have lots of artwork and beautiful furniture it is like being in someones house. Pool very peaceful area most annoying thing is the 1930's type music that seems to play on repeat so my ipod went in after hearing it 3 times over, so they could do with updating this. 4 very small beaches 10 min walk away beautiful clear water I should imagine in August very busy but September was perfect, Puerto Pollensa 5 minute drive away if you want more choice in restaurants. There was the choice to eat a la carte in the hotel which looked very nice but we choose to eat out every night, we wil be back for another peaceful weekend, dont change anything apart from the music at the pool!

Despite the small number of reviews, we decided to book this hotel for our 1 year anniversary - just a short and relaxing break away. We were not disappointed. The building is very beautiful and elegant. The rooms are spacious and well looked after. The pool area is beautiful and so relaxing. This is the perfect place for lazing around and catching some rays with a glass of Cava. Pretty San Vincente beach is a very short walk away (though it was very busy when we went) and Son Brull Hotel is a short cab ride away where there is a very nice restaurant, 365.

The service we received was faultless. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful, as were her colleagues.

We didn't eat dinner at the hotel but the breakfasts are wonderful. Beautiful fresh muffins and pastries, fruit, cereal and a menu including eggs however you'd like them (along with the classic 'English fry up' accompaniments).

The only reason this hotel did not get a full five stars:

1. The shower wasn't very good.
2. The bed wasn't exactly luxurious (but was adequate)
3. No wi-fi in the rooms (I appreciate it's a get-away but in this day and age.....)
4. The constant dreary classical music played in the breakfast and pool area.

The above are only small criticisms and we would highly recommend this hotel for couples or families wanting a quiet and relaxing base.

We stayed recently at this hotel which has many positive features, particularly if you like staying in a museum. Prior to our visit I e-mailed to ask if it would be suitable for my 7yr old child to which I received no reply. The answer is an emphatic no. The place was stuck in a time warp which I think most of the guests also seemed to be. Most sneered at the fact my 7yr old was enjoying herself.

As a token of the hotel's esteem the receptionist, on our penultimate day, was kind enough to enquire as to whether we had enjoyed our holiday etc. She continued that the hotel had relaxed their previous policy of not allowing children and kindly added that they would probably review the present policy, one which they had clearly shown no real commitment to, and change in future to allowing only over 12 yr olds. Mmmm, very subtle
for goodness sake make your mind up what you want to do and cater for it.

The above confusion is an ongoing theme throughout the hotel and it doesn't really know what it's trying to be and, although ornately adorned with works of art, which we were informed, were IMPORTANT, the overall impression is that the hotel is certainly not 5 star. Indeed lunch by the poolside more than confirms this suspicion.

This is no place for children!! However if you are a boring, middle aged type and trying to be someone, then this is the perfect place for you.

we just arrived from a 9 day stay at the Moraleja Hotel. We really liked this small, private and cozy hotel. We learned that this hotel is under new management since one year. It appears that the hotel was not in a good shape at that time, but now things looked well kept. The service in particular is excellent. Aside from the Maitre, who was a bit impatient with my wife due to her vegetarian diet, everyone was absolutely great. José Antonio at reception was outstanding, he gave us very good tips, explaining everything like he was there yesterday. At Breakfast, which was superb, with a wide selection of fresh fruits, juices, and local delicacies, we were taken care of by Cecilia and Angelina who were so kind and friendly.
A note to parents with small children: this is not a family friendly hotel, it's clientele is mostly middle-aged and I don't think they would appreciate children very much.
For art lovers, this is a great place, with very valuable art pieces and furniture. It's very impressive.
A note to party-searchers: this is not a hotel or an area for partying. This is a very quiet hotel made for relaxing. Not even the internet worked well here.
Location is ok, not far away from the small-pebbled beach.
The true highlight here in my opinion is service. Everyone was treated well here, something which we really appreciated it.

All in all, congratulations to the new management, please keep it up! We had a great time and we will for sure recommend it to our friends.
