although we have passed by the sign several times over the years and yo be honest never noticed it until the other week when we was in the car awaiting a bus to leave the roundabout off Kryou nerou street just happened to glace to the left and noticed the brown plated sign.
parking nearby is easy there is bike hire repair outlet opposite the supermarket that has a large dusty parking area free of charge for once (looks like napa now has the motorist cornered for euros when parking anywhere near the busy part of the centre).
so take the path upwards towards the aqueduct its a gentle 5 minute walk here is some seating and a bit of a information board although yes its out of the crowds i feel its not a place to take a picnic type of venture here.
looking towards the large aqueduct a small arch can be walked through and steps up the western side of the structure its marred by new(ish) type dwellings that encroach onto the start of the channel.
take the steps back down and wander up the footpath on the eastern side here the remains of the aqueduct channel weaves around for around half a kilometer or so passing the stone blocks of a long since monastery.
its fair to say its a neglected area, flowers and weeds sprawl around the pathway although our visit in April 17 the fauna sort of made the visit photographically wise.
its a quite place ,a differant vibe to Ayia Napa front bar and beach area.
