First of all i am going to say if you are able to spend 7-10 days with music blaring from 10:45 till 18:00 and then 19:30 till 2am and when i say music blaring i mean like a club.. then go for it. :) me and my friends had read the reviews for this place about it being untidy and dirty. However we were surprised when we arrived to find that our room was spotless and right above the swimming pool. We had enough plates, cups etc and whilst the shower wasnt very good the bathroom was a good size. With the music banging we got ready to go out. The hotel was a 5min walk from the square and made it easy to find which was excellent for the nights out and the drunken walk home.
Every night we got in about 4 to half 5 ish looking for something to eat in the room and get into bed. However our swimming pool seemed to turn into a zoo every night with everyone from the square turning up shouting screaming and jumping in so we didnt get to sleep till about 7. This would have been fine if we could sleep through the day, but like i said before the music starts up at 10:45 every morning which wakes you up.

Whilst i sound like a party pooper this wasnt an actual problem till the 4th day with no sleep then it just got annoying, as we were all tired for our nights out which made then not as enjoyable.
Another problem was the fact that we were in a self catered room so we all brought our food from the local shop to keep us going, however whilst sitting by the pool you arent allowed any food or drink from outside the hotel setting meaning you either have to walk back to your room or spend more money, if you are caught with stuff the unfriendly man took it off you.

Overall the place was a lively setting that is most suitable for 18 to mid 20 year olds. NO FAMILIES. YOU WILL DIE!. its in a good location from the square and costs 8 euros to get to nissi beach. The food from the bar was okay not the best so i wouldnt go full board.

Whilst we all really enjoyed our holiday we feel that it could have been better if we had picked another hotel, as the lack of sleep made us wanting our beds instead of alcohol.
If you do choose to go to this hotel i would only go for a week, if you would like a better sleep then ask not to stay around the pool area, however the rooms did seem to be better in our building which was number nine, so its just a compromise.

Before booking i would just make sure you will be able to cope, if you need your sleep then it will ruin your holiday, however it is enjoyable and good fun.

P.S the maids are lovely and will look after you if you keep them sweet :)

Before i went to stay in these apartments i would read reviews on this often and i have to say i was scared as i am fussy. I went with a group of 12 girls to celebrate finishing the leaving cert. When we got there the music was pumping at the pool. We then went to see the rooms and i have to admit they are basic but it didnt effect us much as we were coming in at 6 and 7 in the morning. And yes it is true that some apartments have ants and yes i usually would care but because we were out most of the time not getting much sleep i really didnt care. Believe me if i was anywhere else i would proabably have left. One word about the pool area GREAT. There was a DJ that came in everyday and we would play pool games. They also gave out free shots now and again. The staff were not very nice at all but who cares. FAMILIES THIS IS NOT FOR YOU DONT BOTHER COMING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT US YOUNG PEOPLE. It clearly says in the broucher YOUNG AND LIVELY. Location was great 5 mins from the town and around all the bars and nightclubs. Basically these apartments are only for young people. Once you are there you will not care about how basic the apartments are, The pool areas makes up for it. You do have to pay in to nightclubs but you will always get flyers with either half price or free in. They give them out around the pool area. One thing that is annoying sales people will call to your door asking to go on there pub crawl or booze cruise just tell them you already have it booked. If you go to ayia napa make sure you dont leave without going to river ragae. Great holiday would not hesitate going back.

i visited tsokkos with my mum (42) her fella (36) me (22) my other half (22) and my sister (16) in august 2009.
when we 1st arrived it was about 7pm and we went straight to our rooms which were basic but clean, we were told that our induction would be at 10am the next morning so we went to the bar to get drunk. when the next group came in all about the age of 20 they had their induction straight away with a another group of the same age involving drinking games and info on the best clubs and were invited on a bar crawl, we were looking forward to ours only to be sorely dissapointed that we were not ivited on the bar crawl or given drinking games to play we were told where the nearest beaches and supermarkets were. we questioned the reps and they gave us the info that we wanted as we went there to party my mums very young at heart, but explained that we were put on an induction in the morning because we had a small child with us, erm 16 years old not such a small child...... ALTHOUGH NOT ALL BAD
after the 1st day we were found to be excluded by the reps alot because we werent all 20 years old, we had an awesome time tsokkos is ina really good location close to the square with awesome nightlife.
i am going back agian this year but with a group of girls so maybe i will have a different experience.
one thing i will say i that i found the reps to be very helpful when i was ill, i ended up staying in hospital for 3 days with swine flu, gaestro entirits and dehydration and they made sure that i went to the best hospital and that i was okay when i got back.
so i would definately recommend this holiday to young groups going for party fun time or families with older kids going for the same reason.

Everything about this hotel seemed to work out perfectly- the location couldn't have been any better, we were in the refurbished section (theres also an older section with a different pool), pool was amazing and never too busy. Travelled with a group of 6 girls aged 18-19 and it was everything we could have asked for. We had 6 of us in the one appartment but that worked out fine.

Food and drink very cheap but you do have to shop around a bit- turns out the cheapest place to buy drink is right beside tsokkos- smirnoff vodka 1L is €8.75 and local vodka 1L is €4.50! full cooked breakfast down the road is €3. Drinks in bars so much cheaper than home as well and measures seemed to be twice as big!

Just one thing to be careful of is that a few items seemed to go missing from our room despite keeping it locked to the best of our knowledge. One girl had a dress taken from the wardrobe but we couldnt prove anything so didnt make a deal of it.

Beach is a short taxi ride away as is the waterpark. Taxis seemed to charge €2 a head pretty much regardless of where you were going. Huge choice of nightlife nearby but you do get really really sick of the PR people. They often want you to go on their "party boats" but look into a few before you book any and see whats included, the same goes for beach parties.

I strongly agree that anyone with children, unless they went low season might end up having a horrible holiday but for young people i cant recommend it strongly enough

I went there in Sept 09 with my wife. It was my third time staying in TSOKKOS. Staff were friendly and rooms were cleaned almost daily. We had a poolside room with the speakers on our balcony. Quite noisy but it does not take long to get used to it. Music was stopped at one am and resumed about 11 am. So you could get asleep. 5 minutes one way for the clubs and pubs and 5 minutes the other way for a good choice of restaurants.I would reccommend this hotel/apts for the younger types, but having said that We are middle aged and enjoyed it a lot. Only complaint was food and soft drinks quite expensive eg can of mineral @ € 3 burger € 6.50. Beer cheap @ € 3.50 per bottle. Graet to go to bar after night out.Roll on 2010.

Before I start I have to tell whoever reads this that Ayia Napa is an amazing place and I'd recommend going there to anyone. It has fantastic nightlife, nice people, great places to eat, loads of activities to do, and needless to say fantastic weather!

This hotel however was a different story...
My girlfriend and I decided to go away this year and we both love clubbing and nightlife, Ayia Napa seemed like an ideal destination. So off we went to Going Places and were recommended this hotel as an ideal spot next to the nightlife. It wasn't cheap but as it was described we thought it was worth the money. Great, so we booked up for 10 nights. We arrived on 12/7/09 and booked in. On arrival we were greeted by VERY loud music, we thought this was pretty good and assumed it would get quiet later once everyone goes out to the proper nightclubs.

We went to our room which was basic but very nice, although we were a bit concerned about the loudness of the music in our room (it was literally as loud as outside) but again thought it would die down later. We also paid for air con which was well worth it. We unpacked and as it was quite late decided to go for an explore, have some food and hit the clubs. We hit most of the bars and clubs to decide where we liked for the rest of the week, however, guys and girls beware the PR people (the annoying [--]who try and drag you into bars by offering free rubbish diluted shots) are the worst I've ever encountered! I've been to Zante and Faliraki and Benidorm in the past but the ones in Ayia Napa won't leave you alone!!

We were quite tired after the long flight and went back to the hotel at around 3am for some well earned sleep but to our dismay the music was as loud at this time as it was when we arrived! This was a similar pattern for the rest of the 10 nights. Luckily on the first night we were drunk so it didn't affect us, however on the following nights if we weren't drunk it was a proper nuisance. I'm not a killjoy and I love loud music and clubbing however if you have nowhere to sleep off your booze, imagine how fun that is a week later. We found ourselves going ANYWHERE during the daytime just to get out of the hotel.

The music is also terrible, they seem to have a CD on loop for most of the time and the rest of the time is the resident 'DJ', DJ Trooper who thinks he's good but really just plays RnB songs from between 2006-2008. I like to do a bit of bedroom DJ'ing and by no means do I think I'm Tiesto's love child but someone needs to have a word with this guy.

This hotel is ideal for young single but for ANYBODY else its useless. The people are noisy and loud when returning at 6am. One particular day a group of lads purposely vomited on the floor by one of the pools and left it there for the ants to feed on. Another day a different group of lads decided it was funny to spit on each other in the pool and one also decided to wee on his mate IN the pool!

We asked reception to move rooms to a quieter room and were told no rooms in the hotel were quiet and that he was suprised we were there as we were the only couple in the apartments (not so much the hotels fault, but Going Places!). The hotel had also recently gone through a refurbishment to do up the pools and it is now called 'Deseo' and billed as the 'Ultimate Pool Experience', the pools do looks nice but the noise and people bring it all down.

On the positive side the cleaners are polite and do a good job. That's probably about it.

In conclusion, I love partying and messing around and this hotel is not suitable for anybody who needs sleep after a heavy night drinking and dancing. Families avoid! Anybody older than about 25 avoid! There are hundreds of hotels in Ayia Napa and I recommend you use one of them, if you really have to visit I suggest staying somewhere else and coming here in the daytime if you really want to.

Hotel was amazing, especially the pool and location. We were a group of 10 girls, staying in the Tsokkos Holiday Village, separated into 2 rooms. The rooms were simple and very basic, but had everything we needed. However, in my room for 4, there were two single beds in one room, and a sofa bed and put-up bed in the living room area. When we realised the air-con was only in the bedroom, we decided to move the sofa bed into the bedroom, so four of us squeezed into 3 beds ! a bit disappointing, but it was fine. Pool was great, all our friends from other hotels came to ours everyday. There are two pools, one huge one, with hammocks in! And also a smaller one, surrounded by beds. The beach was lovely, only a cheap taxi drive away. Pool bar staff were a little disorganised though, once we had to wait 1 and a half hours for a bacon sandwich! But it was great that it stayed open till half 6 in th morning, meaning when you get back from a night out you can have something to eat!! i would recommend this to young people, the hotel was full of them, all looking for a good night life! Basically - stay here!
