Went for late lunch on 1st April with my family at about 14:30.
The place was packed and as we did not pre-book we had to wait for a table to become available.
We were shown to the bar to wait there. Luckily as there was a last minute cancellation we were given a table soon after. Our order was taken quite promptly. We ordered Tempura prawns and California rolls for starters, a combination seafood platter and cod and prawns for mains.
We had to wait for a while until our drinks and bread arrived, but as I said the place was packed.
When the starter arrived the California rolls were missing. It took a while for the waiter to understand what happened and eventually they brought the rolls, apologizing for the delay. and offered that the rolls will be on the house.
The mains came soon after and the food was really excellent.
The Manager and the Head waiter came a couple of times asking if everything was OK and apologized for the delay, they were very polite.
However when we asked for the bill no discount was made despite the promise that the rolls will be on the house.
As we enjoyed our meal we paid without saying anything. These things could happen on a very busy day..

This was the closest restaurant to our hotel and we decided to try it one night. We came earlier because we were with baby and the restaurant was almost empty. Anyway, we ordered one of the sharing platters and we had really good fish and prawns. I was amazed how tasty was this food. The waiter recommended us local white wine which was also fine. The stuff was friendly and they took care about everything carefully.

We spent 6 months in South Africa a few years ago in the Western Cape at Fishhoek and there was an Ocean Basket only 10 minutes drive from where we were staying. We became "hooked" - forgive the pun - on the place and paid many a visit there - my wife always having the baby Kingclip which she said was the best fish she had ever eaten. We live in eastern Cyprus and knew there was one in Paphos and a few years ago they opened one in Larnaca which is about 45 minutes from where we live. We fully intended to try it and you can imagine our delight when they opened one in Ayia Napa last year -only 10minutes drive for us.We went there hoping that the experience of the South African place could be repeated - so often it is not.Our first visit fulfilled all our expectations and much more - we are now regular visitors to the place and have never ever had a bad meal. The fish dishes are to die for and the service impeccable. They do not serve baby Kingclip but my wife is more than happy with the various prawn dishes. What is the icing on the cake is the prices - they are so reasonable for what is served -none more so than the wine. When we saw Boschendal wine on the menu we fully expected to pay a fortune.Having been to the Boschendal vineyards in Stellenbosch in the Western Cape and paid a fortune for a bottle of Chenin Blanc we thought we would have to stick to the local Cypriot "plonk" which is not that great - imagine our surprise when a bottle costs a mere 16 Euros - you would pay more than that for some of the Cypriot wine !! If you are in Ayia Napa pop down to the harbour and enjoy a fish meal of superb quality and have a bottle of one of the best South African wines in idyllic surroundings looking out to sea

In general? Our place to go for some nice sea food meal in the area. The food is delicious and plenty to choose from, we have our special platter that always makes us both pretty full. Together with a small beer and a glass of wine last time we paid around 32 euro. The platter was full of varieties like calamari, fried calamari heads, prawns, a piece of cod, mussels, fries and rice. The only thing if we could change is the service. The staff usually looks a bit bored, not attentive and seems not to care much about the customers.
