Don't miss the crazy beach parties hosted on this beach! Almost every night some nightclub or bar attends the beach and a lot of big acts such as Steve Angello and LMFAO have performed here

It was very quiet at the time of year that I visited, with nearly everything closed. The beach is ok but now needs a good tidy and updating. Very little money is now spent to keep these locations up to date.

Probably....in my opinion.Never seems too crowded especially the far end towards the watersports;mainly because the sunbeds are barely 4 layers from the sea front so unlike other beaches you are not coralled into a mass. The sand is perfect and gently shelves so even 50 yards out you can touch bottom good for less confident swimmers.Further out a safe zone designates where boats cannot go and is interesting if not spectacular snorkling.
As the summer ends this beach is even better with the crowds gone and at the far end a small bay offers sheltered sunbathing and swimming...yes even in november/december.
Any downsides?Well I think thekiosk is expensive but provides convenient top ups for drinks and icecreams at a price.Toilet block is clean(By Cyprus standards!) but this summer the parking fees (OK only 2eurosfor 4 hours) were an unpleasant surprise with many apprently ignoring the signs...as always here!!!!
Regulars feel especially made welcome with melon/pomegranates sometimes handed out from the sunbed man.Watersports are very safe and well run with sensible control of jetskis always far enough offshore to avoid beinga nuisance with their abominable noise.

Stunning beach and just beautiful to be walking along or hire a lounger. Didn't want to leave. Plenty of places near by to purchase drinks, food and sea essentials. Also an all important place to wash your sandy feet.

my friend and I thought we would try and go to this beach and to our disappointment, it took us awhile to walk there, especially with my recovering knee. and it was too windy so walked all the way back to Nissi beach. We were shocked to see no one at Makronissos beach, but hoping this beach gets busy in the summer periods or else it would be very disappointing. it was a very small beach compared to Nissi.
