Great location of this hotel just 5 minutes away from Square, 3 minutes away from beach and "2 euro each" away from Nissi Beach.

Food was very good!! Breakfast everyday the same but it was alright, plenty to choose from. Dinner was just fabulous !! we didnt found better restaurant in town than this buffet!!! Everyday something new to choose from!! Absolute feast!!

Service - some staff was quite inexperienced and bit lost sometimes but helpful. Bit of bad attitude was felt as well. But I have to mention two names which I think were absolutely outstanding. George - boss at the bar and George - boss at the restaurant - without them service ranting would be much much much worse !!!

We went all inclusive which was great. food as any all inclusive can be a bit repetitive but plenty of selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not much to chose from during snack time on the all inclusive menu. Drinks were ok, alcohol was fine but if you ask for a soft drink or water you get it from the pump which isn't very nice and if you ask for cola it tastes like rola cola. If you are not on all inclusive and you ask for a soft drink then you would be given a can of pepsi or fanta orange not lemonade with some oranage dilute.

Rooms were very clean although are in need of an update. Was a bit like a travelodge room but couldn't fault the cleanliness at all within the room or anywhere in the hotel. Cleaner was round everyday. Fridges you did have to pay for but not sure how much as we was luky enough for it to be open. you would normally need a key.

Aiya Napa centre is 5 minutes walk up the road, very close but further enough not to hear any noise.

Entertainment was quite poor if im honest we went out most nights but if you are on all inclusive you would expect there to be some decent entertainment especially for people with children.

The hotel would suit couples, families and singles. I would definately reccomend to anyone and would return to the same hotel although i think i do prefer to go self catering in future.

I went to this hotel with my best mate for a relax...-i know what you're thinking...relax in Aiya Napa in August!!!??? Well let me tell you....firstly

The room - was basic but nice....i'm a bit of a clean freak but felt quiet comfortable in the room...had a balcony overlooking the pool...beautiful. Be aware you have to pay extra to have a fridge and for the safe keys...not much though and this can be arranged at reception.
The food- oh my !!! we were on half board and i had to try and ration myself so that i didn't come back 1stone heavier... brilliant choice of food, fresh, well seasoned... we ate out for dinner one night but missed the hotel food it was that good!!!
The pool- lots of sun beds...researved very early in the morning by towels, but my friend and i overcame that!!! - thats our secret tho!!! nice clean pool large enough for kids to play and adults to chill... nice selection of games during the day too
The entertainment - now this was sooooo fun.... a selection of not very good tribute acts which actually really tickled me ...almost like watching the auditions for xfactor but these were "professionals"
The customers- a nice mix of young grounps, families, couples... all getting on and everyone really freindly
The staff - really friendly...a shout out to George aho works the longest shifts but is lovely

Location- The location is "remote" enough for a quiet holiday, other we walked to the heart of Aiya Napa nightlife literally between 5-10 mins maximum... brilliant location!

Excellent value for money and goot service.... my only regret is that i found a one off deal for this holiday and can't afford to go back in November!!!!

Excellent holiday tho!!!!

The Nestor is in a great location, just a short walk from the centre of Ayia Napa. Rooms are fairly small but nice and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. We were only bed and breakfast so I can't comment on most of the food but there was something for everyone at breakfast (unless you'd overindulged on cocktails the night before and could only face apple juice, darn those Long Island Iced Teas :)) The bar staff were excellent, especially the older shorter one who seemed fairly quiet but has a twinkle in his eye! The pool is massive with lots of sun beds and parasols but get down there early with your towels as some people seem to camp out to get the best spots! All in all a great holiday.

We stayed here for 2 weeks during August 2009

The location of the Hotel is excellent - near the beach, bars, and clubs yet in a quiet location - couldnt fault it. The pool was kept clean and was of a nice size and sunbeds were easy to acquire - guests still in bed by midday busy partying the night before.

Negative points - On arrival we were slightly disappointed with our room which was on the 4th floor and directly opposite the lifts. The room was dated, there were cigarette burns on the shower curtain and duvet cover, the door system still used a metal key, and keys are used for the fridge and also the safe.(much prefer a key card system and a combination lock safe) We did have a problem with ants, but they seemed to be contained to our bathroom and didnt cause us too much trouble. On the positive side, the bed was huge and very comfortable, and the maids visited daily and kept the rooms spotless.

We went all inclusive although the times were limited from 11am - 11pm. The food in the restaurant was excellent and a good choice with different themes throughout the week, There is a dress code for evening meals and men are expected to wear trousers or 3/ 4 length at least or would find themselves being asked to leave the restaurant and eat outside by the bar! We found the Manager really nice to talk with (Tsok...) and George in the restaurant was also lovely to deal with. There were other ladies who worked at the Restaurant who always spoke to you and couldnt do enough for you which was nice. Also the bar staff were pleasant and you couldnt fault them...they work so hard. Message for George at the bar - we won the ashes mate!

Nightlife - very busy if you venture into the square! Expect to be pulled into the bars by touts offering deals on drinks. We went to Bedrock a few times (our girls were there all the time) and we went to a silent disco there with headphones. If you want to escape the bustle, then the Sea Horse Karaoke Bar is good, and the staff there nice and friendly. Alternatively for a low key night visit Protaras which is more family orientated

The local beach was pretty good although there is a better beach a few km away at Macronissos which we highly recommend...get there early as parking can be difficult. During the 2nd week we hired a car (from Budget) and toured the island - nice to get out and about and see what this beautiful island has to offer. Nissi beach is very busy and is a clubbers beach (lovely sand and good for youngsters) but not our scene :(

We also visited Larnaca where you can find British High St stores like M&S, Topshop etc, and you can stay on the man made beach there..although parking can be difficult too. Troodos is also recommended for its fabulous views(especially from Mount Olympus where you can see all the North coast).

Trips - we booked 2 trips through the Thomson rep. We booked one to the Turkish side of the island and were told it included a visit of the ghost town near Famagusta (Varoche). We didnt visit this place, just passed the outskirts of the Savoy Hotel, and many tourists on the bus were led to believe a stop would be made here. We enjoyed the trip as there was a visit to Salamis ruins, Kerynia, Belapais and it was a full day spent.

We also (foolishly) booked a boat trip through the thomson rep for our family of four at 36 euro per person to see Cape Greco and surrounding area being led to believe the boat trip was exclusive to Thomson customers. When we boarded the boat, it was accepting anyone to go on there and you could pay on the spot 20 euro per person, so we had paid 64 euros extra for the same trip and had felt ripped off. The boat trip was enjoyable, but take plenty of drinks with you, otherwise you will be buying them on board.

On our last day we took a fantastic trip for 40 euro each (not through the rep but direct with the owners at Ayia Napa harbour) on the Galaxy 850 explorer hydro foil speed boat. Wow - what a trip! Amazing! The Owner who captained the ship was really nice, helpful and informative. The boat is 1 month old and really fast. We stopped for a swim, we could see the fish under the glass bottom of the boat (and a few scuba divers!) and we went on a search for the dolphins. It felt like a fast roller coaster as the boat cut through the waves and it was great fun looking for them, unfortunately we didnt find any this time although they had been spotted 10 days previously and the Captain swam with them. We cannot recommend this trip highly enough!

Overall we would probably return to the Nestor, as its location and food are excellent. The rooms definately need upgrading, and this is why we have given it 3 stars for the rooms. Otherwise the Nestor could easily become one of the best hotels In Ayia Napa.

Me and my friend stayed at this hotel from 15th July until 29th July. We are both 23 and I have never stayed in a better hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels. George, George and Andreas who work at the bar are lovely, go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. George makes the best cocktails EVER!!! Happy hour is every night from 9pm until 10pm. We paid for half board and the food was excellent in this hotel, something different every night.

This hotel is in the perfect location, beach is only a 5 minute walk. Restaurants are about a 5 minute walk away and AYIA NAPA square is about a 10-15 minute walk away which is a good distance away so can still have a decent nights sleep.

Night life is fantastic, with AYIA NAPA square and the Karoeke bars. Best Karoeke bar is at the top of the road which is called Sea Horse, brilliant bar. Have already booked for July 2010 for Hotel Nestor!!

The Nestor Hotel was a brilliant hotel to stay in. Very clean, staff were very helpfull at all times, australian George from the bar was great, couldnt do enough to help. The rooms were clean and tidy (towels changed every day), couldnt belive the size of the double bed, there was enough space for 4ppl. We went half board and found the food really good, a great choice for everyone. Drinks at the hotel bar a little pricey but happy hour from 8.30 - 9.30pm was worth the money to get a few down your neck b4 heading to the square which is only 5 mins walk. Nightime entertainment wasnt the best, didnt last long at all. Harbour and beach is only 5mins walk away. You have everything on your doorstep at this hotel but the peace and quiet aswell so best of both worlds.
