“Decent 3 star, but nothing exceptional”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

Rooms: have quite a simple design, but clean and spacious and with quite a big balcony.
Location: it is a 5 min walk from the Square where all the nightlife is booming, so very convenient. In order to get to the beach (e.g. Nissi) you will need to drive or get a cab (around 8 eur one way). But remember that in Ayia Napa it is either the beach which is close, either the nightlife - one hotel can't be both, so think about what is more important for you when booking.
Breakfast: decent, simple, English or continental.
Sleep quality: can be a bit noisy in the evenings when hotel visitors start to celebrate their holiday at the pool area or on the balconies, but nothing excessive.
Reception: helpful, speaks English without problems.
All in all, value for money, 3 stars let it be

Stayed here with 2 friends in October this year and would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone ever! First clue was that the rep does not even travel to this hotel for a welcome meeting. Quiet or not, some time should be set aside from reps for this.
On arrival we noticed no toaster or iron were available in a self catering apartment so had to go ask for them. We have stayed in basic rooms before but this was well below average and was grubby and dirty and as for the brown water running from the taps.....we complained at reception and were told by a technician that if we left the water running it would eventually run clear and that it was just because there had been no one staying in the room. 7 days later it was still running brown! We couldn't even open the balcony door as the first time I did the handle came off in my hand.
The pool and pool area were quite good and clean and the barman who worked throughout the day was very friendly and helpful but as for the barman who works at night..he really needs an attitude change if the owners want people to continue to stay at their hotel as he was more interested in looking after the staff who were sitting in the pool bar than the customers staying in the hotel having a drink in the bar.
There is also short road from the hotel to the main road which really needs to be lit up better.
Location of the hotel was okay but there are a few hotels in closer to the main area that would most likely suit better,
All in all I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone!!!!!!

Excellent location for the strip being just 5 minutes walk away (on that note, really recommend Pirates Bar!) Our friend's wedding was at the Grecian Park hotel and that, and Nissi Beach were only a cheap taxi away (8-10 euro depending how many of you there are, don't pay more)

The hotel was just about to close when we were staying (literally we were the last guests!) The receptionist was absolutely lovely and helpful and Sam behind the bar was a great laugh! The cleaners also do a really good job.

We had to move from one room to another as the shower wasn't working properly but this was done quickly and the staff were always really ready to help with anything we needed like booking taxis, they even let us keep our room until 6pm instead of 12pm on the last day so we could enjoy the fantasy boat trip knowing our bags were safe!

I highly recommend a group holiday to Ayia Napa and Christabelle is a basic 3 star hotel with friendly staff and is very clean. Great pool as well with plenty of free sunbeds. Already thinking about booking my holiday for next year!

I have just got back from a week at Christabelle where the apartments were clean and very very spacious. All the basic ameanities you need. The pool was clean not very big though but thats the only bad thing I have to say about the hotel. Your very close the the bars and clubs but not so close that when you beed to go to sleep you'll be kept awake all night. About a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest beach (although hit nissi beach if you get the chance!) Defiantly would stay here again if I was to return to ayia napa.
Can i also mention that there is this amazing restuarant you pass on way to town/beach called Ambeli Tavern which is a traditional restuarant screaming of character, lovely staff and amazing food! Please go if your looking for something a bit different from all the restuarants in town!

Our room hadn't the best of views, the satellite dish got in the way. Some minor plumbing issues, which were sorted. What sells this place to me is a great pool and bar, with 2 really friendly barmen Sam & Chris. Would recommend, hopefully get a better room next time.

i went to ayia napa with 3 other girls. it was our first girly holiday. we booked online and got quite a cheap deal so we expected absolute basic. the look of the hotel is basic but the service and atmosphere is far more than that. we arrived around 2am and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who explained everything about the hotel. the reception is open 24hr so there is always someone there to help. the rooms are basic depending on what room you get. there was 4 of us sharing. there was one bedroom with two single beds and the other 2 beds were in the living room area which turned into sofas when not being used. the kitchen had a sink, fridge with a small freezer space, oven (or just hobs) cupboards with glasses and cups, cutlery draw & a kettle. there was a dining table with chairs. and also a coffee table and chairs in the living area. we had a balcony with a table and chairs which was located at the front of the hotel facing the mini supermarket. the bathroom had a bath and shower but the water was a bit yellow in colour if it was left running for a bath. but shower water was fine. the bedroom window and kitchen window faced the pool and bar area and could get loud at times. air con is available from reception from 6euros for the day. and also safe deposit box's are available from reception at 12euros for 7 days. its good to get one as it better to be safe than sorry but the hotel is so safe and i didnt hear of any robberys while we were there or in the past as we had asked a few staff. cleaners come in every other day to change beds and give fresh towels and a general clean of the apartment. the bar staff and friendly and make the atmosphere lively. sam who works in the day is great fun and will wake you up on the microphone if you are not up. chris works in the evening and is up for a laugh. prices are quite steep in the bar for drinks but happy hour is from 5-7pm and cocktails are real cheap. breakfast and lunch is nice i recommend the pepperoni pizza for lunch and scrambled egg on toast for breakfast. theres free wifi by the pool but you have to pay for the internet in the lobby which is 4euros for 30 mins. so find the wifi connection that has no password. the day time is pretty relaxed by the pool. from about 11pm-3am its quite loud depending on what people are in the bar. music is played nearly the whole time but is turned down the later it gets.

There is a mini supermarket opposite the hotel. and directly under/ next to the hotel is a really friendly man who rents out quads and mo-peds. if you get them out for a couple of days he will usually give you a good deal. quads are great to get around ayia napa in the day...it saves waiting for buses or paying for a taxi. although taxi's are really easy to get and its usually about 8euros to anywhere in the town. dont let them con you as this is the normal rate.

the square and the strip is about 5 min walk from the hotel. all restaurants are situated around the square and strip. the main high street is down the bottom where you can find mcdonalds, kfc, burger king. also go to the american bar grill...the food is great and is a reasonable price. you may have to book depending on when you go. theres also a funfair which can be seen at night clearly as the big wheel is lit up.

few tips : dont buy tickets from reps on the streets make sure you get them from a rep that comes to your hotel. pre-book things as they can get booked up quickly. definatly go to the waterpark and go on a boat party.

nissi beach is about 20mins walk so get a taxi. watersports are available there for a reasonable price.

ENJOY!!!

I WILL BE BACK!!!!

We had a lovely holiday at the Christabelle apartments, however, it is an 18-30 accomodation. The apartments are basic but we had plenty of clean towels, clean sheets and the maid sevice was regular. Its a brilliant location just 5 mins walk from the square and all the bars and restaurants. The only thing is it can be noisy at night due to other guests.
