having read the other comments dont know if we were just lucky but we had a nice holiday mainly couples and families with a few odd groups of generally well behaved girls. The room was really clean and kept clean by the staff all week not really any english telly channels but after all we were on holiday so didnt intend to watch any tv. beds a bit hard and had 2 extra pillows, shower good. The pool was lovely really relaxing and yes there were a few reps etc using it but we never had any trouble getting sunbeds and they were always quiet and having a relax themselves. If you werent on all inclusive the bar was a bit expensive and the entertainment was a bit dire but we were out at night so we didnt mind. Meals were ok and we found something we liked every night, the waitresses were very quick{maybe a bit too quick!} to clear away and the breakfast was really nice. No real complaints had a pleasant relaxing week.

Room Tip: you would maybe want to ask for a pool view

Myself and my partner had previously stayed in this hotel in July 2010 and had found it a peaceful retreat which would suit couples and families. After staying in lets say a 'rowdier' hotel in Ayia Napa in July 2011, we decided we should go back to the Anmaria to seek the solace once again. However, this was not the case, the pool area had been transformed into a free for all gathering for what must have been every single promo/tout girl and boy in Napa! It was OK at first but it really took away from our 'couply' experience; it was as bad or worse than the pool area in our rowdy hotel last year. On return to the UK it has angered me even more when I found similar experiences from fellow trip advisors who like us complained to the management who did frankly sod all about it!!! The worst was the gathering like nature of it, clusters and waves of party areas which were created such as 'boob valley' which I nicknamed lovingly after a few days. Now don't get me wrong, I go for the odd topless sunbathe now and again myself but hey, 20 sets of freeloading chesticles, I must say got on my nerves after a while. My partner even felt uncomfortable, especially when they weren't paying guests!! As 'knapper81' suggested a simple wristband would have solved it.
Moving on...in terms of other aspects of the hotel, the first noticeable let down was the lack of air con in the building which didn't bother us really as the rooms were air con but we found it terribly uncomfortable during any protracted stints in the reception area. The room itself was disappointing too, not what we remembered, however we were moved immediately when requested to a better one. I just think though, for a 4 star hotel there shouldn't be inconsistency between the rooms such as hanging wall paper and bathroom tiles.
Despite niggles such as the above I must stress we had a great holiday, I suppose the pool area which was our biggest issue at least made us get out and about and see the area!! The food was lovely too in the hotel as were the cocktails. Lastly, the location was spot on.
So in summary, what was once a hidden, peaceful gem of Napa is now a meeting place for PR's/promo/touters (aka a lot of essex accents, oiled breasts and large buns on top of heads) BUT we still had a great holiday. Hope this helps people, especially couples.

I stayed here during June and experienced the same thing as others have mentioned. Between the hours of 11am and around 4pm the beds around the pool are taken up by PR, club and other staff from all around ayia napa. They even take the beds away from the pool area onto the grass and congregate on there for the afternoon. Management are well aware as are the staff. I was hoping we just had a bad week and i was planning on returning to the hotel this October but I wont be returning now its obvious this still hasnt been rectified. Otherwise a good hotel, great location, Excellent food.
TSOKKOS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get a grip of whats happening in your hotel before you lose all of your paying customers! and are left with the non paying workers of Ayia napa. Simple coloured wristbands are not difficult to think of and shouldnt take a genius to order!!!!

Just returned from staying in this Hotel for 11 night, hotel is good however on second day we realised that every PR and tout in Ayia Napa has a free for all to use all facilities especially the Pool area, they arrive in droves from 12 noon and take up all sun beds around the pool, when it was reported to the Manager this was going on the Answer Received was " what do you wanting me to do about it" the rest of the holiday was like an 18-30 holiday.
It was also brought to our attention that the Entertainment team have been told not to entertain around the pool now as the touts and PRs don't allow this to happen.
At no time does it mention in any Brochure that anyone can walk of the street and use the facilities that us paying guests have paid for.
This used to be a Brit Hotel , however they opened it to Russian and it is now 95% full of them and you talk about being arrogant don't go.
PS Nice enough hotel, clean, food a bit repetitive, needs new management to deal with the above issues. Not a family hotel.

Room Tip: Pool view would be recommended

we are still here, a family of 3 reported to reception 4 days into the holiday all PR/night club staff using the hotel facilities, it appears that anyone staying in a 2 bit apartment can invade facilities of paying guests and nothing is done about it! no good for family's this is ideal for an 18 to 30's holiday as all those that use the square to go night clubbing congratulate at the anmaria from 12 30 onwards as everything is free for them!WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!

From YINBO. Dont use this hotel July and August. Just got back 18/07/12 with partner. Hotel was full of gangs of muppets, male and female, 16 to 25 plus on all inclusive, thinking they can do what they like. So they decide to get drunk, [they keep serving alchohol, evan if they cant stand up] at hotel till midnight then go clubbing till 5 and 6 in morning. Not a problem if they wasnt being sick round pool area, no one cleared it up, before they go creating so much noise going and coming back, upsetting families and couples, alredy in bed or too early to get up, with foul language and threats if you challenged them. 6am swimming in pool, fully clothed, singing and shouting. A fire extinguiser fight on landing at 5am not funny. Soap wedging lift doors open and smeared on carpets. Climbing and swinging from balconys to get to mates rooms., People, not hotel guests, coming off street using pool, sunloungers and facilities, bringing in bottles and cans without being challenged by hotel employees, we had to drink from plastic cups. Thomas Cook Rep says, up to hotel to provide security and they dont have any, see owner Maria with complaints. Maria usualy attending urgent business, not available. Not a couples or family hotel. Rep says this time of year you have to accept this behaviour, its Ayia Nappa. Might be a decent hotel out of season. Got to lose some stars till owner and managers sort out their security problems and accept one type of customer or the other, young disruptive binge drinkers or couples and families. We dont mix !!! Having said all this, the young staff very good and friendly, Anna exceptional. Food more than edible

Room Tip: We had a pool and sea view, so we got all noise etc. Hotel did not segregate families etc from group...
