This is a very friendly hotel. Staff are happy to help and make your stay a good one. Rooms are kept very clean and towels changed every day. Food was of a very good quality and something for everyone. We had a room on the 4th floor overlooking the pool which also overlooks the beach, views are lovely. The pool area is very spacious with a swim up bar. The lovely Marina who is always happy and speaks with everyone works behind this bar. There is enough sun beds for everyone. This is an adult only hotel and it makes it a very relaxing place to be without the added noise of children. The entertainment team led by Sam and Sarah are great, they work night and day to keep everyone happy and are always joking around. They really helped in making our holiday a fabulous one. The beach is just in front of the hotel with lovely sand and sunbeds. We did not use the beds on the beach but would just walk over to the beach for a swim then back to the hotel sunbed and all the facilities there.

I've just come back from spending 11 nights in this great hotel. The hotel and the staff are fantastic. The staff being so friendly, from the bar staff to the cleaners, they were all happy, friendly and helpful. The food was of very high standard and good variety. The Thompson Rep we didn't find particularly helpful and the entertainment was mixed, some fantastic 'Grace' were outstanding, and some not so good. But you can't please everyone. The hotel is in a really good position for walking to Nissi Beach or into Ayia Napa and the coastal paths have been made for you to enjoy an evening walk or daytime one.I did enjoy the child free aspect of the hotel and would definitely go to an Thompson Gold Adults hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel the middle two weeks of July 2013. This was my fourth visit to this hotel, the previous one being July 2012. I stayed with my husband and grown up daughter on a half board basis.

In the six months this hotel was closed it has has been extended and what a marvellous job has been done! 34 new rooms have been created, the restaurant has been extended and part of the restaurant is now ‘alfresco’. In addition the small grassy area near the pool toilets has now been laid to patio for more sunbeds and umbrellas.

Of the 34 new rooms, 8 are at the front, directly over the main entrance, a further 16 are also at the front over looking the tennis court and the remaining 10 are at the other side overlooking the pool and facing out to sea. My family and I were lucky enough to be placed in one of the new 8 directly over the main entrance.

We arrived at 1am in the morning and the porter took care of our bags, while we enjoyed a complimentary cup of tea and a piece of cake in the dining room. We then went up to find our room and when we opened the door we all said ‘Wow!!’ To digress a little, last year we had been in room 112 and this standard room, although perfectly adequate for two, was very cramped for three. This new room was huge in comparison and sort of triangular in shape. Even with three beds in it there was so much room. The bathroom was also much larger than we had had the previous year as was the balcony. The balcony overlooked the road and although there is a karaoke bar opposite, when you are in your nicely cool, air-conditioned room (which you control yourself) with the balcony doors closed you cannot hear the bar or the traffic. Also it gets the afternoon shade which I prefer. The new room with its lovely white furniture, had a very pleasant ‘just been painted’ freshness. There was a fridge out of view inside a cupboard and a safe in the wardrobe (it cost us 35 euros to hire the fridge for two weeks and a further 20 euros to hire the safe again for the fortnight). We also had a complimentary bottle of water waiting for us on arrival and the following a day a complimentary (‘welcome back’) bottle of bubbly. Our room had no less than 6 electric sockets (same type as UK) but there was no shaver socket in the bathroom. This isn’t a problem as long as you remember to pack a shaver adapter to convert a standard electric socket to a shaver point. Kettles are not provided in the rooms so pack a travel kettle if you want a morning cuppa in bed or you can pay 4 euros a day for tea making facilities in your room. The flat screen TV in our room only had one English channel showing films with arabic sub-titles which surprised us as we had always in the past been able to watch the BBC World channel. However after this was pointed out to staff by several returning guests, the satellite was adjusted and by the time we left BBC World channel had been restored.

As this is a Thomson Gold Hotel, pool towels are provided and can be changed at reception every Monday and Thursday. There are loads of sunbeds which are free to use. We didn’t ‘reserve’ once during our stay as no matter what time you ventured down to the pool terrace there were loads of spare beds especially around the Jacuzzi area.

As this is a Thomson ‘Gold’ Hotel, expect entertainment day and night. If you are lucky enough to have Sam and Sarah as your hosts you are in for a good holiday. Every day starts with ‘aquafit’ and ends with the daily quiz. In between there are games such as ‘aqua dominoes’ and water polo plus activities such as cocktail making, wine tasting and crafts. If this isn’t for you there are plenty of quiet areas around the pool where you will be bothered by no-one. In the evening, apart from the superb ‘Resident Duo’ (this year Family Affair), there is also the excellent travelling Thomson Gold Quartet not to mention the cabaret acts flown in from the UK ranging from singers to comedians to violinists (watch out for the brilliant Tam Ryan, comedy vocalist of X factor fame).

All the staff are very friendly and work extremely hard. The food at this hotel is lovely with something to please everyone. Please be aware that men are required to wear long trousers for dinner and no beach wear for men or women. This is enforced rigorously for men however I did see some women wearing what I would deem beach wear and they were not turned away (this needs addressing). Elegant dining should mean elegant dining.

To summarize, great hotel, great food, great entertainment. Am looking forward to returning next year!!

We have just returned from the taris maris beach. We were impressed with everything about this hotel but halfway through our holiday new people arrived in the room next door. Two whole nights off banging shouting phone on loud!! Three sleepless nights, our disappointment was nothing more was done about this quickly. Glad to come home !!!!!

We attended the Hotel in August as part of a friends wedding. Probably wouldn't be top of our list of locations but due to the location of the wedding and the fact it was a Thomson Gold we decided it would be fine. The hotel in many ways lived up to expectations of a Gold, a brand we have stayed in a number of times before. The pool area had plenty of sun beds, the pool was perfect to cool down in and the river running from the jacuzzi to the pool added to the atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had virtually all you require. I say virtually as many things came as an added extra, the safe, the fridge and tea and coffee facilities all come at an extra cost! The restaurant had no waiting time and you could pick from outside or in, always getting a table. For a gold however, the food was not fully up to standard and if you are a slightly picky eater you may at times struggle. Many things were very salty and a lot of Garlic was used. On saying that for those, like me, who are not picky the food was fine. If you are not staying all inclusive the drinks are quite expensive and I would recommend for lunch go out of the hotel via the pool area behind the bar and go to the restaurant over the road. This overlooks the beach and the owner is fantastic. Good prices! Finally the brochure says this hotel is nissi beach, that is incorrect, nissi beach is a good 20/25 min walk or taxi ride away. It is on Sandy Bay which is like being in central ayia napa with the load noise from a bar all day, have to say sea wasn't that clean either. Nissi beach is much nicer but busy.

Room Tip: Always overlook the pool!
