We have stayed in this nice hotel during holiday and I this was nice holiday, despite few minor glitches.
What was good:
- food, selection and quality
- crew, very helpful and always smiling
- pool
- silent location outside of noise and town
- there is PADI facility 100m nearby with EXCELLENT crew
- there is watersport rental facility, 150m nearby with very nice crew
What was not too good:
- lack of seafood (ok, there were just a few attempts - c'mon, this is Cyprus, there should be seafood everywhere!!)
- noise from neighbor hotel (few nights, when there was disco)
- the hotel was undergoing some minor repairs (in a middle of holiday season??), incl noisy construction work
- the AI alcohol selection could be better, and quality of table wine as well
- the rooms are just OK for 1+1, for 2+1 they are rather small

overall, that was nice stay.

We booked this hotel last minute. Got a family suite that was quiet enjoyable, with jacuzzi and sea view. This would be the only room I would recomment, the other standard room are very small, I could not stay at 4 in those rooms for 1 week.
Some rooms are even above the delivery area, where you hear noise from the air conditionning, I would never go there.
Well, what do we recomment:
- the family suite room
- the beds, very nice and comfortable
- free wifi in the room
- the beach that is very nice, the sea is really beautiful

This is it
What we did not like
- cleaning could be improved in the hallways and in the room. We had dust on a chair for the entire week and found 2 balls under the bed
- the food was not bad but so so repetitive. We coould find everyday the same thing at the same place. So borring
We had to request on several occasions for more fruits or desert because all was empty and were not at the end of the service. Once, the desert (very very limited choice) was completly empty, we asked for something, which they brought after a long while and put on top of the emply plates! No effort was made to make it attractive and no one was cleaning the buffet area during the lunch or diner. Quiet messy
- The animation, if we can call it like this...no animation, we were bored and so were the kids. They could go nowhere and since they were bored, they tried to find things to do. On many occasions, they got kicked out of the indoor pool or out of the gym, they even got yelled at severly by the manager, while honestly, they were not doing anything wrong (1 boy and 2 girls). Nothing to do ( we recomment you go out at the waterworld, quiet expensive but we had a good time). No animation at night or when there was, poor quality, election of mr Asteria. This is what you find in camping.
- the indoor pool was closed at 7pm, nothing to do while it was already dark out at 5:pm.
When we were there the sauna and the hammam were not working
- Not real inclusive, the good alcools are charged, the rest when there was some left (often we were told they ran out of such or such alcool)were ok
the all inclusive ouside the lunch and diner hours was impossible to find, we found out at the end of the stay that they had some slices of cakes hidden behind the bar, we could not see them unless we knew they had some. The coffee is not good either, often col in the morning
- you need to pay for your sunbed at the beach, and those are quiet used and not very attractive
- the pool was cold (we were there in october) so we did not go
There is absolutly nothing to do or to visit outside of the hotel, take good books to make sure you get some entertainement...

In summary, maybe it is because we went at the end of the season but we paid too much money for what we got; Maybe it is better during the summer. We will not go back.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a weeks stay in the Asterias Beach Hotel. The hotel is very well decorated and clean throughout. The room was lovely and comfortable and cleaned and beds changed daily. All the staff are very accommodating and friendly particuarily Chris and Andrea in the cocktail bar, the main waiters went out of their way to seat you at your table and all the waitresses were very friendly. The chefs were eager to please. We were possibly the only english people staying at the hotel at this time but this did not cause any problems as we chatted and made friends with a few of the german couples. The food was good especially the themed nights and the cheesecake was to die for. Overall we had a lovely sunny relaxing break away from the cold english weather.

First of all the property, location and beach are excellent. If it wasn't it wouldn't even get 3 stars.
The bedrooms are clean enough but we were there with our adult daughter and she got a put-me-up bed, more suitable for a child. The day before coming home we found out that in other rooms they had an extra, proper single bed, in a room that was occupied by only two people. Don't the people that allocate rooms look at the booking information first.
Some of the common area's, corridors and stairs, don't seem to be cleaned very often.
Bar staff not very friendly and that check their watches before serving one final drink before bed.
The all inclusive, as already mentioned, is not as 'inclusive' as you might think. The food is generally quite good but watered down soft drinks, (from a trigger device while 'paying' (half and full board) guests get proper bottles), and spirits, which is ironic as they are reluctant to let you have water. We asked for a bottle of water with our evening meal and were told we had to open it and drink some, which we intended to do anyway, as they wouldn't let us leave the restaurant with it unopened. There was also mention of an a la carte restaurant, there is even a picture of it on the hotels own website, but I couldn't find it, along with a taverna. Afternoon tea, coffee and cakes, where? Cold snacks between 22.00-23.00, when I enquired about where these where available from I was pointed towards the main road and told that a restaurant there would have food available, this was by one of the restaurant staff.
Some of the advertised facilities are unavailable i.e. archery. The pool was stone cold and therefore unused.
Some of these issues may be the fault of the package company not doing their homework and
I am not saying these things are unique to this hotel but it certainly doesn't match up to all inclusive in Turkey or Egypt.

Room Tip: If there are 3 adults in your party, make sure you get a room with a single extra bed. Think hard ab...

the hotel was very nice and homey and the front desk one of the ladies there wasn't very friendly or welcoming but the other on was the complete opposite so the balanced each other over all the hotel was clean the rooms were good the breakfast there was brilliant and it's not far from the center of ayia napa where the clubs are its like 15-20 min walk or 2-3 min by taxi and there is a bus stop 5 min walk away from the hotel so over all very nice hotel

While this hotel offers an " all inclusive" option, this is not the kind you see in the Caribbean, Mexico etc. The buffets are unlimited, however, there are many " extras" including coffee with lunch and dinner. The drinks are limited to basically 4 cocktails and beer, all others are extra. In addition, since all beaches in Cyprus are " free" you have to pay 7 Euro's daily for 2 beach lounges and an umbrella.
The upside is that the hotel and beach are lovely. It is a well maintained property with great staff for the most part. I was especially pleased with the dining room staff , but most of all Loukas the chef who went out of his way to accomodate my vegetarian diet. The rooms are a nice size with a view of the sea. It is out of the town, however, it is easily accessible via the local bus which is only 1 Euro. As an aside, we were the only American's @ the hotel which appears to be the " norm". The gym could use an updating, and earlier hours as it opens @ 10:00 a.m.????

Room Tip: All rooms in the front of the hotel face the sea.
