Just back from a wonderful week at the Olympic Lagoon. We arrived on our first day to a bottle of champagne on ice in our private pool villa - as it was our anniversary.
The food is amazing and plenty of different choices and places to eat!! We tried the amazing american diner and the captains deck restaurant which is traditional cyprus meze as well as the japenese Tepenyaki too and they are all amazing!
The bar staff were amazing and i was quickly addicted to the iced coffees!! Entertainment was fantastic, with Glee style shows and rock night aswell as random Britains got talent acts performing once a week.
we did get out and about by hiring a beach buggy, this was ace. We went right up to Protaras and even further up - to the Famagusta view point - which was heartbreaking to see the ghost town!
We never queued for food or drinks too long and the weather was boiling throughout our stay.
We had a superior bungalow with private pool and i have to say this room was amazing!! the pool also had a bulit in jacuzzi, and was daily checked for chemical and cleanliness levels. We hardly moved from our pool during the day - except to eat!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone as it would suit most people including families as the kids facilities were phenominal and also due to the high number of adult only areas - including a pool this would appeal to those aswell.

We absolutly loved this hotel and i can't reccomend it enough - amazing!

Room Tip: Pick a private pool villa if you can - well worth it!

I came back from olympic Lagoon in Cyprus today, And It was bloody amazing... We went to this resort for my best friends wedding.
Food.... Food was out of this world something for everyone, even the fussy eaters, well I put 7lb on in a fortnight because I couldnt resist the food. so tasty.... but if your not a pig like me, theres plenty of light meals and snacks you can enjoys throughout the day. Resturant staff are wonderful.... nothing to much trouble Anna was one who stood out the most...
Drinks.... Although its a all inclusive resort some cocktails and drinks are not included.. Like ice coffee and mojito, pinacalda just a few i can remember and they can be quite pricey.. But the barmen in the pool bar will make you sooo many different cocktails, they are very friendly and made my stay feel more welcoming Nikos, Steve, Valenteno, Gee were just amazing!!!!!
Pool areas...........always clean and all out door pools are always supervised by a Life Guard....Sun beds can be a nightmare if your not down there earlier...
Everyday for 2 and half hours my children went to kids club, Rhian made my children feel so welcome, They never wanted to leave there.....
Entertainment was fab always something for children to do pool mini discos, table tennis, games quiz's, caberet shows. throughout the day and night. They were all fantastic especially, Ollie, Lucy and Hellena and Rachel.. Well done guys u do a fab job....
Aiya Napa and the beach is not far from the resort for just a euro one way u can catch the bus which comes every 15mins...
weddings......although my friends wedding was beautiful, I wouldnt have my wedding there.. they have 4 weddings a day. and it feels like its one in one out.... not very special.......but the photographer and onsite hairdresser were brilliant.....
Overall i had a amazing week... and so did my children which for me thats all that matters..

Room Tip: get a room with a private pool... bit more expensive but worth it

I start with: i didn't believe the bad reviews and i should at least take them into consideration. stolen staff, bad management and horrible bathrooms. the rest is ok.

ROOMS: OK as space, could have been better, but they are ok (we had standard 216 and 110) we paid 3 months in advance and 1 week before we asked for 2 quiet ones and close to each other as we travelled as family with a 1 year old child that has much trouble sleeping at night. we arrived late and due to this we've got 2 rooms on different floors, both facing the highway (which is max 100m faraway!!!!!), one of them stinking of smoke (i am a smoker and i know that it took somebody a week to do that smell) and the one of the baby next to the elevator!
Attitude of reception, some young ladies (one of them Maria): "we were lucky to be in the same building and to get used to it that nothing can be done". I put a claim of course regarding attitude and problem solving, but had not even today an answer, at least on email...the only GOOD RECEPTIONIST is MILITSA. After 3 days they offered rooms in another building but i refused as they looked the same and meant to pack and unpack for 5!
BATHROOMS: as you can see in the pictures LOOK HORRIBLE, hotel saying that they invested 14mil euros to do it last year.not true for bathrooms! we had a standard but the last day we have stayed in one of the rooms from the pool with terrace and they have the same bathrooms!!!! only bigger rooms.
FOOD: good and varied and staff from restaurants very ok.
POOL AREA: very good. pools for families with children separated by the pool for singles, which is a great idea. kids pool suitable for kids till 5 years old, afterwards kind of boring. sunbeds are started to be taken from 5am in the morning so put your alarm just to go and put a towel to be sure you have good spot.
BARS: ok as staff but drinks can be improved and varied. i don't know about alcohol, but i give coffee as example wich is ness, soluble kind of...
ENTERTAINMENT: ok for families with children. bar for adults is for elder people like my parents, around 60s.
AND AS A CLOSURE: we had a 2.5sqm baby pool car shape (see picture) that somebody HAS STOLEN the 3rd day from the kids pool AFTER WE ASKED WHERE TO PUT IT TO BE SAFE. we put a claim and i met the front office manager twice and the guest relations manager 3 days in a raw to see what they do about it and we did not have any answer, not even today, they just didn't care. And i sent 4 emails and nothing! I WAS EXPECTING AT LEAST APOLOGIES that this can happen in a 4 star hotel with guards at doors! instead on that, the front office manager told me that i cannot say it is a theft till i prove that it was stolen....?!?!?!?!??!?!?....if somebody besides family takes a thing and not brings it back how you call it??!?!?!

SO, ALL IN ALL, WE PAID PRICE FOR AENEAS WHICH IS 5 STARS AND GET AT MOST 3 STARS. BUT BATHROOMS DON'T HAVE EVEN 1! I WON'T RECOMMEND IT. PEOPLE WHO HAVE THIS MONEY SHOULD GO NEAR, TO AENEAS HOTEL. OUR FRIENDS DID AND THEY WERE GREAT!

Management response:Responded June 28, 2012

Dear “Alina M”,

Thank you for your review.

We do sincerely apologize for your experience during your recent stay at our Resort. We shall address the shortcomings that you have highlighted about your room and services offered with the relevant departments and rectify them. The hotel recently completed a refurbishment on the Resort and indeed spent 18 million euro; we encourage viewers to visit our website as to establish their own opinion. It is disappointing your experience did not meet your expectations.

In regards to your accusations about “people steeling” we find it extremely offensive. Besides such large items cannot really be carried around unnoticed; therefore really difficult to be “stolen”.

Once again thank you and we wish you all the very best for your future endeavors !

We have just returned form Olympic Lagoon resort as my sister got married there, and all i can say is "WOW" There was 38 of us in total and it was absolutely fantastic, with all of the staff being so polite and friendly! The wedding Gardens and settings were beautiful, with lots of entertainment for the children! If you love the beach then that's only a 5 min walk outside the resort! I would give it a 10/10 score! The food also was fantastic with different theme nights each night! All in all this was a fantastic holiday and a fantastic hotel and we are already looking at returning sometime in the near future.
Ignore any bad words said on here, this is a truly perfect resort/holiday and you will not be disappointed i can assure you!

We chose this hotel for our wedding in october 2011. We were all 19 of us blown away by the beauty of the surroundings. The wedding gardens are idilic and the variety of the various onsite resteraunts were brilliant. Hotels and holidays alike always look great in the brochure so we were expecting some level of let down. But I can honestly say that this kanaka run hotel is amazing on nearly every level. They made sure we had an amazing wedding every detail catered for. The wedding coordinators are brilliant. The hotel is spotless there are much appreciated allocated areas that are adult only including a pool and stylish bar which we appreciated. The food is unbelievably varied and delicious. Adult entertainment could have been better but on the whole if you go with no spending money at all you would not be scrimping the whole experience was so good we didn't feel or want to eat out any of our days at this hotel. Word of caution to those who wish to get married in the hotel on a budget. Althought you have paid for all inclusive and even if you chose just to have your wedding meal at the regular buffet the managment will and were cheeky enough to ask for an administrative charge of at that time £200 for you to sit with your wedding guests at the buffet you have already paid for. Fortunately for us we had worked out what we wanted to get the bast fot the money we had. Would do it all Aidan tomorrow.
Were all going back next year for another two weeks

Room Tip: If you can afford it upgrade to the bungalows or the fishing village villas. However our families st...
