We have just got back today from The Pluympic Lagoon Resort and had to get on here straight away to share my thoughts on this Resort. Not sure where to start. The hotel facilities are spotless and cannot be faulted in any shape or form. The staff cannot do enough for you and are very polite and smiley at 'ALL' times. The entertainment team are amazing and have so much energy it is unbelievable, I take my hat off to them, they work some horrendously long hours, but they are all so approachable. Food glorious food, that is all I can say about it. There was so much choice and of a wide variety to choose from. The salad bar was brilliant if you didnt fancy a heavy hot meal. You must try the Japanese Restaurant that is an experience in itself, not ever having tried Sushi before, so it was a must. And ladies, you must have a full body massage in their Spa, whilst you are there, a full hour of pampering, so relaxing. Our large group have already discussed returning back there next year for a full 2 weeks and not the short 11 days, as it felt. All in all a fantastic time had by all. Thankyou very much !

We had room 712 which I think was the best room in Fishermans Village! Jacuzzi bath, MASSIVE terrace to sunbathe on and a huge four poster bed.
The room was cleaned every day- fresh towels every day- one for shower one for pool.
The staff were absolutely brilliant- - reception, housekeeping, waiters, bar staff and management.
The food was fantastic- loads to choose from, lots of local dishes (although most people still queued for chips which I thought was a bit sad!!) be adventurous and try their local specialties!
I really liked the adults only area- it was very peaceful with its own pool. Although the other pools were great for kids- lots to do!
We booked through Thomas Cook who were flawless from booking right through to the transfer back to the airport.
I really can't say enough good things about this resort- I've joined Trip Advisor for the sole reason that I want others to see how good it is.
We had a truly relaxing week, the only hardship was finding the energy to get up from the sun lounger to walk to the lazy river! Highly recommended.

We booked our Honeymoon with Thomas cook.
The hotel was excellent and staff made the holiday, very attentive, always looking after you and doing their job to a high standard. The hotel has recently been refurbished which always makes a difference, with new facilities, living quarters and fantastic gardens and pools.

We arrived very late sunday evening and was greated by several staff and made very welcome. We had our wrist bands attached as soon as we arrived (we booked fully inclusive which was well worth it) and details and passports taken by the reception staff. One of the staff wisked our luggage (and the two of us) on a golf cart to our apartment (we stayed at the Fishermans Village within the hotel complex) and shown us into the apartment and explained the showers, juquizzi, balcony, mini bar etc. We had also been given chocs and a bottle of champagne which was awaiting in our room on our arrival.
The rooms are spacious, very clean with air con, tv, mini bar, etc. Your room cleaned everyday and towels (1 for the room and one for beach/pool) changed everyday, some times twice aday!!
The Fishemans village has its own private pool for the 26 apartments and is adult only with your own lounger. The pool is free form and various coloured lights slowly change through the evening. Every day fruit, chocs and cold towels are brought to you by your lounger by the staff! Excellent touch.
Their are 6 main pool area's, the lazy river which slowly winds around the gardens and hotel, which is just so relaxing and easy to get sunburnt if you go around more than twice! the childrens pool with pirate ship and slides (wish i was 6 again, looked great fun), an adult pool next to the main hotel area, indoor pool where you could also use jaquizzi, gym, treatments etc, the main outdoor pool with jacuzzies and bridges etc and the Fishermans pool.
The resturants consited of a japanese, meze type greek, 50s burger bar and the main resturant. All the food and drinks were great and something different for everyone. Mainly buffet style with great desserts hot and cold. You will not be disapointed! I could go on and on about the food but trust me it was great.
The drinks were great too and various area in the hotel were waiter service. The two main bars were the Cinnamon lounge and the pool bar. Cocktails, beers, soft drinks and hot all available from 10am till late.
The hotel is situated off the main motorway and coast road with the beach over the road (200 m). Great beaches with all the usual bars and sea fun. Ayia napa is only 20 mins walk or 5 mins on the bus (about 1 euro). Supermarket is just outside the gates.

Entertainment was good with the Thomas cook staff providing most form 10am till 11 at night! From bingo to cabaret, elvis to dance, live artists to magicians and that just at night. In the day pool games, archery, tennis, football, table tennis, kids games etc,,etc,,you don't need to leave the Hotel!

The area and island is great to explore and we hired a car, beach buggy and bicycles to explore it. People very helpfull and friendly, lots of places to visit.

Overall a great place to go and stay and relax or party.

The only bad points if you can call them that was that some times the food was warm instead of hot and their was quite a few weddings everyday (about 5) but that didn't put us off as it was good to see the various types and attire being worn! Also everyone was always in a good mood!
the food in some places we visited was not up to much and was a shame,,i think they have lost their taste buds!

Great fun will defo go back

Room Tip: couples or people who want total quite time choose the Fishermans Village excellent.

I have just got back from my best friends wedding, what a hotel!! We booked this hotel over a year ago there was a party of 20 for this wedding. Don't know were to start, first we all had
different size rooms standard to bungalows the only thing I will say about this is, if there are 3 of you DO NOT have standard room they are NOT big enough as I found out Food is the best I have ever had and the staff are all fantastic nothing is a problem and they all work very had, The lazy river is great fun, we couldn't keep the kids off it o and the adults!! The other thing is the kids pool if you are not staying in the family bungalows you will NOT get a bed by that pirate ship people put there towels on the beds the night before for the next morning, yes they do!!! The hotel do need to do something about this, apart from a couple of issues this is a fantastic hotel and I would love to return again one day, thanks for a great holiday

the best holiday by far i have ever been on .me and my partner came to this hotel to get married on the 9 th may. we had a large group of 62 people over with us. everone will agree it was a holiday none of us will forget.there was afew things that ill point out that i think could have been improved but nothing major.
as we were a family of 4 we booked one of the junior suites which had the kingsize bed ,a single bed and a sofa bed. this was all we needed but i did find the room quite cramped for the 4 of us with hardly any storage space. we lived out our suitcases for the 2 weeks as there was no room for all our clothes to be unpacked.
The food was excellent with different themes every night and lots of variety to suit all needs,my daughter loved the pizza and chicken nuggets.we tried the rock and roll diner once which was good but we prefered the buffet with all the selection.
Both my daughters also attended the kids club which they both loved. my youngest daughter who is 2 can be quite funny with people she doesnt know and the days she attended she ran in without giving me a second glance.you also pay a deposit of 20 euros for a buzzer you take with you for if you are needed which i think is a great idea for these clubs. These girls work day and night and always are full of fun, with smiles on their faces. we all commented on how friendly and likeable they were.
The pools and bars were also really good. we never once had trouble getting beds in the mornings. The bar staff steve and valentino i have to say made our holiday special. these guys were polite and friendly and nothing was too much hassle for them.the guys in our party spent alot of time talking and getting to know them at the bar and just adored them. so much so we requested steve to be our bar man at our wedding . it turned out he wasnt working that shift, but being the nice guy he is, he came and worked our wedding night for us on his night off.we later found out he did this volunterely without getting paid.so thank you steve

As for the wedding and sally the coordinator, that lady is a god send .she was so chilled with nothing being a hassle.i was panicking like mad about everything ,but shouldnt have done as everything was organised and went perfect on the day thanks to sally. the thomas cook planners were also brilliant again nothing too much work.our wedding was beautiful and perfect and wouldnt have wanted it any other way, thanks to the organising of these ladies.

now for the negative thing - my mothers room.as she is in a wheel chair and is on oxygen 14 hours of the day one of my main priorities was to make sure she had a lower ground floor for ease of her getting to her room.when booked(11 months ago) this was one thing i requested above everything else that i would have to have.after getting her key to her room we discovered her room was up some stairs which had no ramps etc for wheelchairs making this impossible for my mum to get to her room.after contacting reception and explaining, she was moved to another room, only this one was on the second floor and a lift had to be taken to get her there.many of our party were on ground floor rooms, so cant see why a disabled person didnt have the priority of a ground room floor considering it had been booked many months in advance.after she was settled items were taken to her room for her to make it easier for her to shower etc which was much appreciated.

All in all this was a fantastic holiday and are planning on going back for an anniversary in the nxt few yrs. if you have booked here you definately wont be dissapointed!

Room Tip: if you can afford it definately a room upgrade if you have a family and you want room

Just returned from our first beach holiday in 8 years, and I have to say that it was worth the wait. There were just the two of us, and we stayed at the Olympic Bay part. This is by far the best hotel that we have both ever been to.
The hotel is beautiful and has a great team working within who ensure that each person has a wonderful holiday. I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel, and the staff. The hotel is incredibly clean, and the maid comes and cleans twice each day.
The restaurants are beautiful, particularly the Japanese restaurant.
The entertainment team in particular are fantastic. Each of them work incredibly hard, and are very personable with all. Really liked all of the team, but Rachel was incredible. She is a great singer, dancer but more importantly goes out of her way to make sure each person has a superb time! Cannot speak any higher of the team. Many thanks to you all for making this a brilliant holiday for us both!

Room Tip: We were in the Olympic Bay. Would highly recommend for couples. This gives you the privacy and quiet...
