“Paloma- Great Hotel!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 20, 2011

I stayed at the Paloma Twice as Nice hotel in sep 2011. We stayed in room 128 which is on the top floor with a shared terrace balcony with the rest of the rooms on the top floor.

Room: Spacious with a nice room with 2 single beds, bathroom with a bath and shower and living room area with kitchen facilities,a sofa bed, table and chairs etc. Air con was only in the bedroom so the rest of the room was really hot. Rooms were cleaned everyday with clean towels etc.

Staff: Staff were great! and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Drink prices at the bar were cheap and the food was lovely.

Location: About a 10,15 min walk to the centre of Napa where there are plenty of bars and clubs, was never a struggle to find the hotel again after a night out and was easy to get to.

The pool: Pool was lovely and clean, was always busy by the pool so was hard to get a sunbed at times but apart from that was a nice clean area to sunbathe by.

Overall I had a great time and even though Ayia Napa is expensive I would go back tomorrow and I would return to this hotel again.

Stayed here from Sep 14th to 19th 2011. Group of about 25 of us.

A basic aparthotel with everything you need for a stay in Ayia Napa.

The rooms are basic but you get everything you need.

The hotel bar is great and offers extremely good value priced drinks and snacks, and if you have been to Ayia Napa before, you will appreciate just how expensive the resort is! The hotels bar is a great place to meet and drink before heading to the main bar street.

Hotel offers free wifi to help you keep in touch (or rub it in) to your friends & family back in Blightly!

Pool is small, but never seemed too busy, and its a great place to hang out and have a bite to eat and a few drinks. When we were there, beers and spirits+mixer were only 2€, and its open 24 hours a day. Compare that to some of the clubs charging 7 to 10€ for a bottle of blue WKD, you get the picture!!

I would definately stay here again. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a perfect location to everything!!

I would also recommend buying the block pack of trips from the reps, as they really do represent value for money. You will save £££'s by doing this, as a lot of them include free/reduced price bars etc, so if travelling on a budget, this is the best way to hang out, mix with like minded folk and save cash!

Highly recommend the Boat Trip, Glow Party & Silent Arena, these were fantastic, and such a laugh!

Its also still MEGA hot, so the air con is a MUST!!

Thanks to the Staff and Reps at the property, for making our stay a fab experience!!!

Ayia Napa, Ayia Napa, Ayia Napa - You get the idea!!

Room Tip: Front facing rooms have a distant sea view!

I stayed at Hotel Paloma for a week in august 2011 and was pleased with our stay. The staff, particularly the bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a good choice of food at reasonable prices. The pool was a decent size and the pool area was kept clean and tidy. There was also lots of sunbeds available so we didn't feel like we had to rush coming down to the pool during the day. Our rooms were basic but which was what we expected and were clean. The hotel is quite small so you get to know the majority of people who are also staying, which was nice for us as I was in Napa with just one friend. The hotel is also in an excellent location for the nightlife as it just a 5 minute walk away from the bars. There are also many shops nearby. I would definitely recommend staying there.

Stayed here for a weeks holiday in last week of September, which was last busy week of the clubs/bars. Two of us stayed in a studio apartment, the room, was very large, 2 single beds, kitchen area, although we never cooked anything in the apartment, there wasnt a great lot of equipment to cook with...
One thing the bloody fridge was noisy at nights, so i ended up switching that off at nights to get a little bit of sleep.
Bathrooms really need refurbished, were clean , but very old, wouldnt really want a bath in there, only showers.
Pool was small, and not cleaned that well from what i saw, few sun beds around if u were up early before anyone.
Food offered in the apartment bar wasnt that great quality so we ate out in town , loads of places to choose from , between 10 - 15 euro rough cost 3 courses,
The apartments were 5 min walk down to main strip of nightlife, down small hill, nightlife in Napa is great , thats what we went for, transfer time from airport is an hour on the coach from the airport.
Beach is about 20 min walk away, sandy beach, not bad, but nissi beach better taxi ride away..
Staff at apartments were very friendly, overall we only paid cheap price so couldnt fault it, yes needs some refurbing in bathrooms, but overall was good, although not really 3 Star + rating, would say more like 2 Star untill they inprove things.

When you arrive you have to lift your heavy cases up the steps to get to reception or you room if you were allocated upstairs, no one to help you. (Luckily we had a room on ground floor) no slopes or lift. The apartment we were given was completely filthy, we had to go to the shop to buy antibacterial cleaner to clean the bathroom, kitchen and the tables in main room (cloths went black!). It's not the first thing you want to do when you've hot and bothered and had a long journey. There was mould on our ceiling and in the bathroom there were damages in our room that we reported but didn't get attended too. (broken lock on our balcony door, aircon knob broken, broken draws, stained sheets, cig burns on bedding) Under the beds were unbelievably dirty, the air con not fantastic for the price (46 Euros a week) I bought bug spray from the shop as there was a monster cockroach on my pillow on night one! The room wasn't cleaned for the first 2 nights, but then a very nice cleaning lady came and then cleaned everyday (we tipped her) she was so sweet. The pool is very small and not enough sun beds. They do not give you enough towels, only two. So you don't have one for bathroom to dry your hands on or for use in the kitchen. They do not give you fresh towels; we had to wash ours throughout the week. DO NOT TOUCH THE BATHMAT, it was gross, I didn't even want to touch it, it smelt so bad so we just put it behind the bathroom door and used a hand towel to set up of the shower. The safes are not electronic, just a small keys, didn't look safe but in front of reception which is man'd, none of our belongs was touched (10euros for the week) The food at the hotel was average, I recommend eating out at other places, just within 10 min walk you have such a wide range of choice. We spent on average 30 Euros on 2-3 course meal with soft drinks, which is reasonable. Drinks in bars are about 4-6euros each and in clubs about 6-8euros and club entries about 10euros, we got a lot of freebies from the PR's (public relations) in the streets and the Thomas Cook Reps. Taxis within town are 8euros no matter the distance, short or long. Taxi men very friendly and patient. Definitely worth paying a taxi to take you to Nissi beach, it's beautiful and worth the 5-10min journey in taxi. Food at the beach wasn't nice but didn't expect the RITZ lol. No one hassles you on the beach and music good. We always found sun beds even if we went about lunch time. Night life is so much fun and the people are great, you see more tourists then locals but it's a hot spot for the party life. Sea is clear, sand is gold, lovely local cats lazying around, great for shopping shopping shopping!!! When I come again I will stay in better hotel, but Ayia Napa is the bomb! Have fun

Stayed here with two friends through 18-30s self catering. Got it for a bargain price of £120 for a week so i wasnt expecting the hotel to b amazing not 3* more like 1. Arrived to a really quite hotel which i didnt expect seems it was 18-30s. They gave us room 116. Bumped into a cockroach on the way up..niceeeee! The room didnt look cleaned at all there was hairs and muck all over. There was only 2 beds in one room and then a sofa in the other. Air con was only in the room with the beds..kinda stupid! There was no bedding for the sofa for my friend.
Was only there 30 mins to realise that any one could get into the electric box coz some lads where messing about with them switching them on and off. Bath was awful was cringe worthy.Shower head you actually had to hold which was annoying. None of the cups or cutlery were clean either.
Pool looks bigger and a lot nicer on the photos but it was better than nothing
Food and drinks were fine.
The hotel was pretty dead to be fair no 18-30s crack at all, which was really disappointing! The reps were useless & were only bothered about selling you tickets which we didnt recieve till the day before going home so no use what so ever!
So you really are getting what you pay for, if your looking for a place just to crash then this is perfect and cheap.
Managed to get swine flu the day i was due to go home so wasnt feeling so well. Had to lay on the reception seatees as they would not give me another room & the male receptionist was just rude.So they really arent very helpful when you need another room. Ended up in hospital great end to my holiday!
Plus side of this great location for the nightlife its like 5 mins walk if that so that was real handy & the only good thing about the hotel.Theres a shop just down the road for booze which is handy. Then theres a few restaurants for food.
Loved Ayia Napas nightlife <3

just got back from napa with my boyfriend, we had an absolute wicked time. Apartments close 2 the square except it doesnt feel like that at 6am in high heels as its up a hill but its fine really. Its a bit of a trek 2 the beach get a taxi 2 nissi beach. The rooms were all i expected on an 18-30 apartment and weren't as basic as the ones i had previously stayed in the year before in malia so i was very happy. We payed for the air con which is a good price however we ended up putting our beds under the air con as u cant feel it much on the ova side of the room and we had single beds so we pushed them 2geva as we are a couple. Pool bar is ok but just warning u all dont go crazy with the euros as it is very expensive in ayia napa. i loved it and upset that im back so make the most of it xxxxx
