This hotel is great, it's position, pool and beach areas along with the beach bar are fantastic. The sunbed system is genius no early rising to get a bed, you book your sunbeds when you arrive and they are yours for the duration of your holiday a big plus point. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff are friendly and the service excellent. Keep up the good work Grecian Bay, hope to return next year.

Having heard about the Grecian Bay Area I was excited about our holiday....particularly as I was celebrating my 40th birthday while I was over there. I paid extra for an ocean view room and got just that...the view was lovely. We were on the 4th floor on the corner and had a great view of the ocean, pool and unmissable view of the sun set every evening. The large palm tree that could be reduced in size was the only blip to a fantastic view.

Cleanliness: The hotel is immaculate and the staff work tirelessly to keep it that way throughout. We did have a day where the room was not cleaned and once I spoke with reception they made every effort to get it cleaned. Initially I just wanted clean towels, not only did I get these but the room was cleaned and towels changed again whilst we were out!

Food and drink: We had a B&B package and the breakfast was really good and worth paying the extra money for. As we were so close to so many great restaurants, we ate out each night and chose to buy lunch from the nearby supermarkets as the hotel foods was quite expensive. The ice cream however, is a must!

Room: Our room was on the fourth floor and was lovely. Clean, plenty of storage space, huge bed and nice bathroom. The water temperature was a bit erratic in the shower but this is minor. The safe was new and we had complimentary water and fruit upon our arrival. Not only that I arrived back from a catamaran trip on my birthday to find a complimentary bottle of fizz in my room....this was such an unexpected treat! The balcony was spacious and we spent every early evening sat outside with a drink to watch the sunset which was gorgeous. At night I slept like a baby and the A/C was excellent.

Facilities: you can reserve sun beds on the beach for the duration of your stay and as long as you have your towel on the beds before 10.30am, they are yours! This was great to avoid the usual race for beds where the early risers grab them...note there were a few issues with people taking the beds before 10.30 and on the first occasion we simply found other beds nearby. On the second occasion however, I complained to the ladies who you reserve the beds with and she quickly instructed one of the lifeguards to remove the belongings of those who had taken the beds. This was done with little hassle! The spa and gym are nice but the treatments are expensive! The spa bath was a little cool for my taste but was clean and a nice added extra to the hotel. The bar and lounge areas are all simply gorgeous and worth a visit.

Location: Great location. The hotel is only a 10 minute slow walk to the centre of Ayia Napa but far enough away from the noise! Excellent restaurants are a short walk away and I would recommend Sage (fantastic), Fiji, Clarabels and Los Bandidos. The latter is in The Square, but if you turn right rather than left, you avoid the bars and will find a great selection of restaurants. As I was having a birthday week, both Sage and Los Bandidos made it really special.

Thank you to the hotel and our Thomas Cook rep Kerrie for a great stay. I will definitely return to Grecian Bay Hotel and cannot recommend it enough :-)

PS - if travelling with Thomas Cook, the VIP catamaran trip is great and well worth the money.

Room Tip: Go for a higher room for ocean view and ask reception on the morning of your departure for a late ch...

The hotel location is great its pool, bar and beach are amazing. Rooms are clean and the bathrooms newly redone. Food is tasty and nicely presented.

But and a huge but... The a/c at night was so weak we had very disrupting sleep (not worthy of a 5 stars hotel) the reason is still a mystery to us and the internet connection was of a 3rd world country which is weird as well.

All in all i would recommand that hotel for couples and families.

Hotel all on all is ok but turning off the AC after 12 am in Hot July nights because it's noisy for the neighbourhood hotel is not a valid reason for a 5 star Hotel.

Also one more annoying thing is the poor Internet service. we kept getting bumped off, the signal was weak and the service was slow.
It would be more reasonable to charge and offer a decent access.

Pool is great and hotel is in a very nice location if you search for relaxation.

Don't book west wing as there is a quite walking distance from the room to the reception.

The Grecian Bay was excellent. Massive, clean pools and just a few yards to a fabulous beach with private sunbeds which can be reserved for your entire stay, but we never had a problem finding beds near the sea. We had sea view rooms which we felt we well worth the extra cost. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the view of the bay and listening to the waves was so relaxing. Rooms were bright and clean. Only criticisms regarding rooms were that the beds were hard and the shower pathetic.
Breakfast was okay but certain aspects such as limited choice of fresh fruits, no choice of milks and no real fruit juice were not in keeping with a 5 star hotel.
Also, be aware there are a large number of Russian guests who seem to have no understanding of the concept of queuing. Initially this was annoying but over our stay we turned this into more of a sport preventing any queue jumping and holding our ground.
The location is excellent. Close to the main area for restaurants and bars, but away from the noise.
Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel and have no hesitation in returning.

Room Tip: We chose sea view rooms on top floor and found these perfect. Sea view well worth the extra cost.

This hotel is a real treat, the staff are attentive without being too 'in your face'. The beach is by far the best on the island and the indoor ice cold Jacuzzi is an ideal way to cool off after a lazy day sunbathing.

I would like to give special mentions to Elena (Guest Relations), George (Reception) and George (Fisherman's Hut) for their dedicated customer care.

We have been visiting the hotel for many years and have seen many changes, all for the better, and I hope they can continue the momentum. Keep up the good work, we will be back next year.

Room Tip: Always best to get a sea view or the West Wing which gives lovely views of the Harbour

I've recently returned with my family after a three day break at the Grecian Bay Hotel. We have been going to this hotel annually for the past seven years and have enjoyed every experience there. I've always believed that it is harder to please a regular client, as regulars will certainly note the differences in quality and price, but every visit has been an absolute pleasure.
From the courteous staff to the efficient check-in, the Grecian Bay sparkles as the jewel of the Mediterranean in this exclusive part of Ayia Napa.
From a luxury-sized swimming pool which does not feel overcrowded, to the spacious and modern bedrooms with their marble finished bathrooms, this hotel is located on one of the finest strands of beaches with their crystal-clear waters.
Breakfast is superb - the widest selection available from continental to English - salmon and Champagne - literally everything under one roof! The staff are attentive, ensuring your dining experience is problem-free. The sun-beds are reserved for you around the gigantic swimming pool, towels provided, and a wonderful complimentary ice-chilled face cloth to relieve you from the scorching rays of the sun.
Adjacent to the swimming pool you will find a pool bar, and a grill restaurant which serves tasty lunches. The hotel also offers free scuba-diving lessons and water aerobics (on certain days); a large, air-conditioned games room is available close by to entertain the children - from table tennis to snooker tables and video arcades.
There is a kid's club which offers babysitting and a hair salon on the same level as the swimming pool. This five-star hotel also offers a well equipped gym and indoor pool and jacuzzi.
The Grecian Bay certainly qualifies as a five-star hotel that lives up to its reputation every time.

Room Tip: All rooms (side-view and front view) offer sea views, however the more spacious rooms are located cl...
