“A real treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

A magnificent little church of a kind you would no expect in a small town. The glittering golden decorations behind the Altar is illuminating the whole church and contrasts with the walls covered by blue " azulejos "

“Needs some TLC, but lovely all the same.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

A lick of paint and some repairs to the pews are in dior need. No photos allowed, so put the cameras away. If you get the chance, attend mass and partake in the singing of the hymns with the Portuguese lovely parishioners.

“Don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We loved this beautiful like a jewel little church of about 200 hundred years old . If you are staying around do not miss to visit it . It is a pity though you are not allowed to take pictures. The hand painted tiles are just gorgeous while you cannot take your eyes off the golden carvings. We loved every minute of our visit at this magnificent old church.

“A gem, not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Visit the church and the Cultural centre. The church is very unusual and makes one feel very tranquil and dissociated from the helter skelter of every day life. The decor is truly amazing. The cultural centre with its garden is an oasis of calm. A lovely way to spend a morning and see the real Portugal
