Walked into the restaurant the two staff near the door, saw us and turned & went into kitchen. Several minutes until another lady acknowledged us with her unhappy/unwelcoming face! Received the bread, which came with one butter, one pâté spread, despite trying to get someone's attention... Nobody noticed us. I ordered ribs, for the amount they cost poor presentation and looked as though just slapped on BBQ and then onto my plate. Place was covered in Mosquitos constantly landing on food and my Dads face, asked if they had mosquito candles which they retrieved from cupboard and put on our table but nobody else's table, despite obvious issue for everyone. Why not have them on in the first place, clearly trying to save money! Over 75 euros it cost we did not have a starter, coffee or desert, just two main dishes and bottle of wine. Nobody took the money, so we went to the bar, we could of easily walked out as nobody noticed and despite hanging around the bar waiting ... Expecting a 'thank you so much, have a good evening' we had to leave the money on the bar as no one clearly gave a monkeys about our custom!!! We live in Portugal, very poor service, won't return!

the food seems expensive, the drinks are good value with a nice wine list, the view is very good and the food is of a good standard. You are given bread and olives when you sit down and they add this straight to the bill even for your 3 year old child this is wrong you can not charge for something you have not offered or has been ordered. The clams were outstanding, sardines and salad average and the squid was over cook unfortunately. If you want another drink standing on your chair and waving your hands is the best way, service very poor and was very slow despite restaurant being less than a 1/3 full. We waited 20 minutes to pay the bill. I have given this restaurant average as poor waiter service seems to be the standard in this area. Are bill was 100 euros for 2 adults with our 3 year old sharing, 1 bottle of wine 18 euros and 3 soft drinks 2 starters and 2 mains. Disappointed overall as a friend recommended the restaurant and would have liked to visit more

My parents own a villa nearby and are regulars at Antonio's and always recommend it when we visit with our friends. Its fair to say the venue is more 'rustic' than some of the others nearby but has stunning views over the beach and sea, and the food more than makes up for any shabbiness - its quite simply the best food on this beach.

We ordered the starter portion of clams with salad and chips and find this makes a perfect main course as the clams are large and plentiful. The sardines are simply gorgeous and the prawns are out of this world.

The side salads were perfectly seasoned and didn't need any additional dressing, and the chips nice and fat and not greasy. We used to consider Antonio's expensive but it seems the neighbouring restaurants' prices have creeped up making Antonio's seem better value.

We sat down on the outside deck for dinner, and the place was crawling with ants. Instead of suggesting that we move, the staff comes out and starts spraying the ants. The food was OK but not great, certainly overpriced, and the sole that my wife had ordered was plated whole, no effort to filet or bone the fish as we had experienced at several other restaurants.

I know that one can do better than this one.
