I played here with three friends on 13th October, following a great previous day at San Lorenzo. The course was ok but whatever good things I could say were completely overshadowed by the rudeness and arrogance of the staff that we had the misfortune to encounter. We turned up at 10.30 for a midday tee off. This was booked, with two buggies, in January. After waiting far too long for the shop staff to serve ANYONE we were told to wait outside for the caddy master to bring the buggies. By 11.15 we had watched two blokes move about 30 buggies, none of which were ours! They were making a very simple job very very difficult and having paid 96 euros for the golf each and 50 euros a buggy our patience was wearing very thin. I finally said something and, behold, the two buggies we were standing next to were ours. Lads - how about telling us instead of leaving us standing there like lemons? They were more bothered about their hair, sunglasses and trying to look good shunting golf carts then the customers they are there to look after! We then took the buggies to the car to load up the clubs and found that the strap on one of the buggies had broken. Back to the caddy master who said we will have to wait. Boom - I lost my temper and reminded pretty boy that we had a tee time and waiting was not an option. He promptly found a replacement but said that the sat nav was broken. Arghhh! If the buggy was included in the round then I might have suffered it but it was top top dollar to rent so I wanted everything working. Now, very heated, I demanded he find a suitable replacement immediately - which he did. Why did I have to get to this stage to get what should have happened 30 minutes ago? We went to the bar, had 4 cokes and 2 coffees that cost 36 euros!! Anyways, gets to the tee by 11.45 only to be told that we had to wait for 2 groups that were coming through from the 9th (we had to start on 10). When we asked why, we received no real answer from the starter. When he asked us what our tee time was we told him midday to which he replied "You are going to be late then!" No [--] Sherlock! We eventually tee off at 12.30 and had a decent 9 holes. Got ripped off by the club cart and then got stuck behind a load of hackers going off the first!!!! Why did we have to wait for people coming round before we teed off not to be afforded the same? To cap it all on a course that I won't be gutted about never playing again, they were having a disco in the bar on 18! If you go to the Algarve, swerve it. There are better courses available with nicer people.
