A place to dress up in the Algarve. Most places are very, very casual and when on holiday this is great, but occasionally you need to put on your best duds and this is the place to do that without feeling out of place. The restaurant is very stylish and cool. Personally the food is not to my taste, but that doesn't mean it isn't good, in fact it must be good because lots of people return over and over again. It isn't cheap, so be prepared to dig deep. Not great for kids, more a grown up venue. Would I go again - Yes of course because my Prada shoes and bag need to get out and about now and again....

Following other reviews agree this restaurant needs a sign on the main road! Got there after missing the turning, ample parking. It's a stylish restaurant so you can dress well, attentive and helpful staff. Extensive (and somewhat expensive) wine list, but a few hidden gems, a Portuguese Chardonnay at 23 euro was superb. Dishes are tapas style and quite small, so it's very hard to judge how many to order, we were a group of 4. The food was excellent quality.
A little lacking in atmosphere as only 3 tables occupied as we were off the main season, but it was a really pleasant place.
Overall it was our most expensive meal of our holiday but also in terms of food and drink it was probably the best, was similar to a very good London restaurant in terms of price and quality.
The only fault really was it was a bit quiet, perhaps it's the location as you require transport from our beachside resort to its location whilst places in walking distance from our accommodation were all very busy.

Whilst the decor and restaurant itself is stunning and despite a good looking and sounding menu, we felt the food left an awful lot to be desired. Oily food with very little flavour, basic cooking done badly. Came away for 10 nights and this place is our only regret. I would not recommend this restaurant and there are many others that far exceed it close by.

With the added disruption of roadworks this stunning restaurant defines ".tucked away"
Great tapas , with bigger than normal tapas portions, make for an interesting meal in luxurious surroundings but it's a little quiet probably because most customers have given up trying to find it
The wine list is ridiculously long.my top tip to the owners however is - Move to the main road!

After a few wrong turns we finally found this restaurant and were not disappointed. Walking in we were transported into a trendy setting with luxurious fittings. There was even a room dedicated just so wine. The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only criticism I have is that there needs to be better signage to Paixa as we nearly gave up due to road woks and detours! I'm glad we persevered.
