I have dined in Alambique for many years now. The food is good, the setting is beautiful and the staff are attentive. As I said the food is good but overpriced for what you get. The menu has not really changed in years and now I consider it boring. Other resrurants in the vacinity have moved on with the quality of their menu and food and are now a better option.

Had a dinner here with seven others ten days ago. It had been a really regular eating option of ours three or four years ago for maybe ten years prior to that. In short, the restaurant got a facelift in the meantime but the menu didn't.. Overall food was ok, at times good, at times not so good.,, high points were avocado and prawns to start, duck for main, crunchy chips, low points douada wasn't great, tomato salad appalling (dry unseasoned, undressed wedges of tomatoes for near enough to €5), sorbet was very sharp.... Won't rush back but what was good was good so kudos there....

The setting for Alambique is beautiful. They have a gorgeous outside area that is really well designed.

However the food is at best bland. They always serve the same sardine dish before the starters which is cheaply produced and not very tasty.

I only had a main course when i was last there of avocado & prawn salad and the avocado was not ripe, in fact it was hard and tasteless.

The staff are nice but are constantly buzzing around trying to fill your wine glass every time you take a sip.

Overall I would not visit Alambique again, there is much better food nearby at much better prices.
