“Most excellent fish stew...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013 via mobile

We ate about about 3pm, off season and no one in the place, this worried us as Izzys next door was buzzing but Julia's had a great area for the kids, you could keep your eye on them whilst eating so that swung it for us, the deco in the outside eating area was sea weathered, the menus did not look great but they offered a good selection, service was great and the fish stew was the best, dressed crab was also amazing, would definitely go back...

“Excellent”

We had the best sunday afternoon in a long time at Julia's! Excellent food, drink and service. Fabulous live music and a lovely relaxed atmosphere - all this at a beach bar! Very happy to highly recommend it.

“Nothing special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

Julia's restaurant is known for being more upmarket than the other beach restaurants around. But here they fail. A beach restaurant is either about food or white tablecloths. It's all about mood and soul.
If Julia's beach restaurant shrunken their menu to a few fresh and tasty local dishes (no escalopes and that kind of stuff) , sent all the waiters on a smile course, then may be it will compete with some of the really top beach restaurants, like the ones at Praia do Rei, Sao Rafael or Evaristo beach.

“Absolutely fantastic”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

We always visit Julia's when holidaying at Quinta, we love fish and this ticks every box for our family, the sunset views are stunning. We visited early this year and it was great to have more time to talk to the staff. We didn't need to book, but in the summer months definitely need too. The beach bar is also worth a visit.

“Great food, great views!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

Lovely prawns, fab Portugese fish stew. And what a view! We came across Julia's having walked down the beach with our two little ones. Fabulous food and wonderful views. As with most things you get what you pay for. Fab food at a price that you would expect for fab food.
