Interesting one this. Some great reviews on Trip Advisor was enough to get our booking. First warning sign for us was the taxi drivers response when he asked us where we were going, which is always unnerving! He told us that it used to be great, but following a recent change of ownership, he was not so sure. I do not know how recent, so if you are considering this, check the most recent reviews first.
We arrived and were promptly seated in a relaxed outdoor area, with a nice ambiance. A little too close to the busyish road for me, as much as I appreciate the roar of an Aston V12, I draw the line when I am just tucking into my goats cheese salad.......
Menu was broad and priced in line with most other restaurants in the area, I.e. 20Euro or so for a main. The interesting point was their fixed price menu at 28 E for three courses(you get a choice of dishes) which then makes things much better value (and in line with the ambiance/service). The waiters were more than courteous at all times. Food was all good quality, well presented and well cooked.
I did have an issue with the chap who appeared to be the head waiter sitting down at the table next to us with three mates and proceeding to smoke during our mains and dessert, upwind of us. This really was off putting and he should have been more considerate - a disappointing twist to otherwise exemplary service.
Overall, a good value option, if you go fixed price, particularly for families. If you are looking for a more intimate ambiance for couples, I would suggest possibly looking elsewhere.
