Went there last Sunday to try the Sunday Roast after being recommended by friends, and what a great treat it was. I had a beautifully cooked roast beef, with all trimmings making the meal superb. At the end couldn't resist on the apple crumble tart with custard, and it was delicious. My wife had some lovely fish goujons, perfectly cooked, with tartar sauce, and for desert a banoffe sundae that was also a hit. Can't fault anything, and we will definitely be back again.

Lovely verandah outside to browse the menu and a welcoming fire inside for the cooler months. Lovely staff make you feel at home. This has been our place to go for Sunday Lunch since Sean the chef has been preparing the traditional roast and he does an excellent vegetarian or vegan choice which we had pre-ordered. The food is really tasty! Good selection of starters including the usual salad or soup etc. The main course is a great roast with all the trimmings including some perfect cauliflower cheese and wonderful Yorkshire puddings. For dessert we can't get past apple crumble and custard ... because it is great, but other desserts look good too. Good wine list, the house wines are decent at 15 euros and it's a very good value meal at around 20 euros for 3 courses.
There are now quite a few places for Sunday Lunch in the Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo triangle but this is definitely our favourite.
I think that you need to book ahead by telephone.
The hotel is pet friendly.

This review is for the restaurant as I live locally I did not stay at the hotel.
The bar area is warm and cosy with a wonderful open fire, ideal to enjoy a pre-lunch drink.
The dining room is small, pretty and light with around 10 well spaced tables.
The service is professional and friendly.
This was the best traditional Sunday lunch I’ve eaten in a restaurant for a very long time.
The meat was a choice of beef or pork both were of good quality and expertly cooked. The accompaniment including the cauliflower cheese and carrots and roast potatoes were also excellent and all very good value at €15.50 for 2 courses. My pudding was apple and blackberry crumble with custard.
I can only find one negative point and that was the frozen green beans.
Perfect for this time of year, we will be back

After a wonderful week in a villa overlooking the Gramacho golf course near Carvoeiro we stayed a couple of nights at Quinta Jacintina. The hotel, staff, food and facilities were all amazing - our room was beautiful as were all the public rooms. The staff were all helpful and friendly - and nothing was too much trouble. Trainee hotel staff should visit this place to see how it should be done !

There's little point reiterating what so many others have said about this lovely hotel. We were looking for a few days of peace and quiet and we found it here, and next time we come back to the Algarve we will return to this hotel. One frustration was the wasps and flies around the breakfast buffet. One disappointment was the fact that soon before our arrival, the restaurant chef had departed which meant that there was no proper meal service at lunchtime or in the evening. But there are plenty of nice restaurants around.
