Knew this place thanks to this site... located in Torre del Colle, outskirts of Bevagna, inside the walls of a walled village (or castle). Outdoors has a very inviting atmosphere (tables under the gate, wine casks as bar tables with woven straw chairs, outdoor lights, candles) Indoors has a very nice ambiance, decorations, tablecloths, all details nicely and smart chosen. Kitchen is contemporary, viewable from the dining room (not from all angles).
We decided to have pasta (tagliatelle) with zucchini and pork cheek lard with creamy sauce (9.00); roasted duck breast with walnuts; codfish served in three types: thin sliced, fried and purée; roasted pork with arugula. Dishes costs were from 10.00 each, all beautifully presented, delicious but small portioned. We had also a hazelnut-chocolate semifreddo (5.00). After meals, a walk (very short one) is recommendable to explore this little cute village; stunning views of the Umbrian landscape can be seen from this village.
Service: initially we were served by two waitresses, one particularly smiley and welcome but later she had to leave (afterwards we learned that she was one of the owners, obviously!) the other one was OK but she looked so hasty, full place all by herself which we completely understand...
The only thing that ruined our dining experience was a group of frat youngsters who sat beside our table, showing off their high life hobbies and achievements in all five continents so loud... apart from this, the rest like it; if back to Bevagna in the future, definitely would come back.
