We selected this hotel for our first holiday with our 12 month old daughter. We picked this one because of the close proximity to Athens, the private beach and the restaurant right under the rooms, the pool, the fair price and of course the hotel being just outside the town and thus more quiet.
The room we were in was on the first floor, it was huge and thoroughly cleaned. It looked new, nicely decorated and with a nice looking kitchen which, however, was not fully equipped as the hotel advertises and had the most basic of things. Thankfully we had brought our own things!
We had a big balcony overlooking the sea with the pool right underneath us, and although it was hot during the day, we spent the cooler nights there. The bathroom was very clean, even for our own (high) standards.
I gave the sleep quality an average, not because of the matresses which were very comfortable indeed, but because of the noise. The Grand Bleu hotel which is a few meters away, had a party every night with very loud music during our stay. Also keep in mind that the hotel organizes wedding celebrations with late night parties every now and then. Luckily there are soundproof windows in every room and all these are not that much annoying.
We had a dive or two in the pool, it's best on weekdays when there's not too many people around. It wasn't the cleanest but considering the almost 10 hour usage by so many people, it was ok.
The hotel restaurant was very nice, good quality meals and decent prices. Everything from the menu, plus some extra daily dishes, was excellent. Breakfast was a basic continental buffet, with enough options. Milk, coffee, juice and tea; bread, omelet, ham and cheese, yogurt, honey, cereals and the occasional sausage pies, cheese pies and mini croissants.
The town of Eretria is a long walk if you are up for it, otherwise its 3 minutes by car or you can get one of the hotel bicycles for a nice ride in the country. I don't know if they charge you for them though.
Overall a good hotel, I would recommend it for families only, as couples may find the children running around, playing and yelling (especially in the pool area) a bit disturbing. It is also very crowded on weekends as I wrote earlier, so you can try to fit a few weekdays in your holiday, as the hotel seemingly has lees than half rooms occupied then.
