Description: The Coq au Vin is housed in an historic cellar, but on fine days in the summer guests can also eat on the castle terrace. The brasserie serves authentic French cuisine with a German twist, tempting visitors with delicious meals in a pleasantly simple Mediterranean atmosphere. The icing on the cake is the exquisite wine list. No small surprise, as the castle has an extremely well-kept wine cellar, which means that lots of wines are also available by the glass.

“Nice but slow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2012

As the Gourmetrestaurant is closed monday and tuesday we enjoyed the Coq au Vin.

The food was good and the service was kind and professional.

The only weakness is that service was slow.

“Great food - slow service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 1, 2011

Food at the Coq au Vin is really good. Having ate their four times, I believe my wife and I tried all main courses and almost all entrees. None of which are disappointing, all of which was a pleasure to ate. With an open walk-in cave, you can choose your wines which is always fun. If you have 4 hours time to eat, then this is the place. If you want to have a quick dinner, this place may frustrate you! The service is very good, but very slow. Great if you have lots of friends or business partners so you have ample time to talk, but if you want to eat and get back to the room before 10pm, not going to happen. I would definately recommend it and in all frankness, it is one of the best brasseries in the whole area.
