I came here on business and was quite pleased: the breakfast was excellent with a good selection to choose from and delicious warm croissants every morning. There is the New York Times newspaper for those who don´t read German. One man at the reception was particularly helpful and friendly, and I really enjoyed speaking with him. Tip: you can buy a two (or more) day train pass at the hotel, thus saving money. It is worth taking the time to walk around the very small old centre of Eschborn.

We rented one of the hotel's apartments so that we could make a few meals. The kitchen was a bit small but we had a good time trying out things to eat from the small local supermarket and sitting out on the balcony. Although just a studio apartment, it was big enough, comfortable and very clean and it made for a practical alternative to a hotel room. We had a good breakfast at the hotel each day. The staff were helpful and spoke English. The train station is about 5 minutes away (walking), there is a lady close to the hotel who will do your laundry, and there is a park close to the hotel if you want to sit out or have a pick-nick. A most enjoyable stay.

Room tip: The hotel is near the railway line. If you think it will disturb you maybe ask for a room that is further away from the railway line.

I booked via email and the hotel asked for no downpayment or security, trusting me to turn up as promised. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful, allowing me to check into my room at 11 am and then after my stay to leave a bag with them for the whole day. My room was on the small side but quiet and perfectly well equipped. Breakfast was extensive and for just EUR 5 was incredibly good value. I had a beer from the minibar and it cost only EUR 2. Again, amazing value for a hotel.

I have only praise for the hotel and would certainly stay here again. I didn't have an evening meal there, as there are plenty of interesting options within 10 mins walking distance.

Stayed several times during October in this hotel. Personel was very pleasent and proffesional and I could feel very welcomed. The room was standard single room and it was also very pleasent. Complementary gummy hearts were a nice detail. Breakfast was very good and rich. At the checkout it was very fast and efficient. In one word german perfection.

Eschborn means business. It´s not this kind of town people go to have fun or to enjoy the cultural atmosphere. To go to Eschborn - its to go for business. Very often hotels in this areas have the same approach - offering minimum standard for a high price.
Central Hotel is defenetly a nice and very likable exception of that principle.
Located in a 5 min. walking distance to the S-Bahn station, the Central Hotel is situated in a medium nice (or medium ugly) apartment/business building - by guess from late 1970ies or early 1980ies. But stepping inside the hotel - everything is nice and clean and smart. The staff is very friendly and competent. The rooms are nicely renovated and furnished, pretty clean and spacious. Bed is comfortable - but the pillows are stuffed with foamed plastic flakes - thats really unhealthy and unconvenient to sleep on. Bathroom is also very clean but maybe a bit tiny - but fine for a few days. Minibar offers beer, softdrinks, wine for a surprising reasonable price. Electric kettle, tea bags and cups are also available. Guests sensitive for noise should ask for a room offside the main street. Breakfast is kind of classic boring German style - to be found in many of this kind of middle rated hotels: coffee in vacuum jugs, evaporated milk, standard cold cuts, butter, bred, kind of more or less industrial produced cheese and jam, some fruits etc. Do avoid misunderstandings - its really nice to stay there and its not about blaming somebody about a boring breakfast. This hotel offers a very valuable return for your money and you can´t go wrong to stay there.

Room tip: Rooms on the back side should be more quiet
