“LECH at it best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2012

This very nice Alpine building has received a freshing up interior look, enhancing its undestated luxury.
You Will be able to ski in-out, deposit your ski equipment in an unusually comfortable and elegant ski room, relax in their indoor pool and spa or cozy living room. We had a Jr. suite of average size furnished with taste and refinement. A sofá ( with a bright reading lamp ) plus two armchairs facing a large Window and terrace made the reading in the room very pleasent.
A partitioned marble bath room with oversized shower cabin and a generous closet made the room experience difficult to critize in any form. Linen hamdtowels added that little luxury detail you only Find in top hoteles.
The restaurant offers to half board guests a varying daily menu complemented with many further choices including "whatever you would like to eat". The setting and decor of the main dining room is fresh modern cozy refined Alpine style.
The staff is extremely kind and efficient, a smile always present to greet your questions.
Maybe the only absent luxury detail is a private ski rental shop in-house as so many top class Swiss hotels offer.
I guess Mrs Schneider's continuos visibility is the secret to this fantastic top class establishment, maybe the best in the village.

The experience at this hotel is just fantastic!
The service is highest quality, the hotel is charming in details, the location next to the ski-station makes it perfect! The only thing... Cash payment is unusual!

This is the most beautiful hotel, in a great location, with excellent food & facilities.

So loyal are their visitors - it is already fully booked for next february!

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2006

My husband and I stayed for 5 nights at the Almhof Schneider. The deluxe double room with a view of the slopes (east-facing),lovely balcony, and service was faultless. The Schneider family was very solicitous and always on hand to help (with ski equipment pick-up, lift tickets, whatever was needed). The rooms were equipped with DVD-players, gorgeous linens and duvets, and bathroom with slate marble from Salzburg. The furnishing is stylish and tasteful for a ski resort. The hotel is very well-located with nearly ski-in/ski-out facilities (with ski-boot warmers). The Lech-Zurs ski resort is very well planned and convenient.

There were only a few negatives - 1) no credit cards are accepted so you must pay by bank draft, 2) you must purchase a breakfast/bed/full dinner package with can feel a bit oppressive (we did not really want to eat a formal 5-course dinner every night), 3) the dinner was pre-set with few options, 4)bathrooms only provided soap and lotion (no shampoo or conditioner so please bring your own or purchase at the nearby grocery store), 5) massages (no beauty spa) are very expensive (100 euros for one hour) and not the best I have had when compared to top-end spas that charge less.

Other than that, it was a true fairy tale experience and we floated back home very pleased with the stylish furnishings, location and faultless service.
