We loved everything about this restaurant. The service is friendly, helpful and funny. The location and view are second to none (you do have to walk up or down a hill to arrive). But the food was so great! We were 4 adults and we ordered different dishes. Every dish was superbly cooked, and very well presented. We were so happy! And you must get the kaiserschmarren to finish. Highly recommend!

My wife and 16 month old son and I hiked down to Rud Alpe for lunch and were very happy here! The view was breathtaking, service was great, food delicious and there was a great space for our son to walk around and play on the deck plus awesome water features for play and animals! We will definitely return!

Second year in a row that we had a cheese and meat fondue organised for a group of 50 people. One would say this is good business for RudAlp. Instead the waiters were rude, very pushy on expensive wine, only magnums and when we asked at the end (not even 10 pm CET) for a small bottle of white wine as only a few wanted to have a bottle of wine, we could only have a Magnum. When we declined such large bottle we got the check..... Also, the two Guys (one bold guy who was there last year as well), have no clue what service means, how to put a smile on your face and how to make the guest feel welcome. It is not that we did not spend the money, but i am afraid to say that the value for money was not sufficiënt at all. We will not come back, which is a shame for such a beautiful restaurant.

Booked in advance from the UK, a good idea for our visit as it was heaving. The food is typically Austrian so not for those that want pizza and burgers. I went for 'Boiled beef' expecting it to be a poor translation of stew. It was as the menu described, boiled beef with apple horseradish and was delicious. I never expect city standard service from a restaurant on the slopes during half term but considering the numbers of covers the staff here do a great job. It is slick, food comes out quickly and you don't necessarily all get your food at the same time - though for us this was not a big issue. The deserts were the highlight, in particular the Kaiserschmarren with stewed plums. We went back a couple of days later when the weather was poorer and found plenty of space for a late lunch. It's low down on the slopes so bear this mind when planning you day.
