I've passed by Kopanjang many times but, for some reason, never considered eating there until someone recently referred it as a great meal at a reasonable price.
While we waited for friends to join us, the waiter greeted us by name as he delivered our drinks - an unexpected personal touch yet so easy because of our reservation. (Why don't all restaurants do this?)
He shared information about the Thai chef and dishes not on the menu. We were also able to relax in the warm golden and dark red tone decor. From the outside, the restaurant appears more expensive than it is.
All together, for 4 people, the bill averaged around $25 / person. We ordered a bottle of wine, 1 soup, 3 appetizers, and 2 main dishes with rice. The food was fresh and flavorful, in just enough quantity to be satisfying.
My husband loved the Sour & Spicy Prawn Soup. I highly recommend the Pork with Red Curry & Pumpkin. A dish nearly impossible to find in Lebanon! The Chicken Stirfried in Fresh Ginger was also fantastic.
We'd go back in a heartbeat.
