Visited the arboretum during the school holidays. Very busy but amazing to see how so many people tend to disappear at this place. The visitor center is an architectural feat worth checking out. I've never been into Bonsai but the permanent live gallery is something that has to be seen. The rest of the arboretum surroundings are very much still under development whilst the plants grow, however the landscape contouring and layout is brilliant and will only continue to getter better with time. I really enjoyed walking around and the views from various locations over Canberra are amazing. Highly recommended.
