We were told about this place by the lady at the B&B. I had the prawn and crab salad, there was a large amount of prawns and crab. It certainly was fresh. The drinks are expensive we paid 35 euros for 3 double vodkas and a half of lager.

Having read the very positive reviews I was expecting a great dinner, which is exactly what we got. Parking was a bit of a challenge and when we entered the small bar area from the main entrance, I thought that we would be lucky to get a table. However, we were politely welcomed and offered a table in the larger restaurant area at the back … it was very large but still had a very nice atmosphere.

The food was all excellent, as had been implied by the earlier reviews. Wine was sensibly priced and service was equally good. Overall an outstanding meal.

Stopped off yesterday for a drink at Morans. This is a fabulous restaurant on the Weir. We had a lovely seafood platter for lunch. The salmon was so soft and mouthwatering. Would recommend this place to anyone passing by. Definitely worth a visit.

A compulsory stop on any trip south of Galway A visit to Morans never disappoints. Stopped off last Friday for chowder. None of the all to familiar boring packaged prepared formula served in many places. Morans chowder is the real deal with a distinct succulent flavour to savour. The staff are friendly and efficient. The premises is always spotless. Well worth a detour every time.

The situation is spectacular. The view donates calm. The first impression is of a small pub! But on entering fully and sitting at a table there is a very pleasant atmosphere around. The food is excellent ,service very good and staff friendly and helpful. It may be a little pricey for lunch. I think it may be the same menu and price all day, but I can't confirm this.
