This is a long drive from Galway. The menu is very limited. This is really a place for those who like " cold fish". If its fresh cooked fish you are after then better off going in the other direction and OGradys in Bearna is a better option.

On my recent visit we had smoked salmon and prawns with brown bread. This would be ideal as a starter but not really for dinner. The prices were also very steep for what we were getting. This is a good pub in a fantastic location but its not really a top restaurant, come here for the drinks and starter type dishes ..but not really for dinner.

On a sunny afternoon it's ideal to come here for a glass of wine with some prawns etc...but keep an eye on the bill , you could get a shock especially with such an extensive wine list. The Celtic Tiger has left but has left behind its prices here in Morans..

Ate here three nights on the trot during our recent trip. Fantastic food from a good menu with plenty to select. Famous for its Oyster's they do not disappoint. Very friendly attentive staff with a relaxed atmosphere. Everything we had was excellent, well presented and cooked. We have stayed in the area three times over the last few years and always visited and ate at Morans and I can honestly say we have never been disappointed. Well worth a visit.

I recently ate here for the first time in May and its a fantasic place. It was a family event and it was for lunch. We ate outside as it was a beautiful day. We had lovely seafood all round our waiter was very helpful and quick which I love. Unfortunately I never got his name. But thank you. I will be back!!

This was a lovely lunch, with friendly service, though quite expensive under the circumstances (recession, so many early bird/dinner deals available everywhere). I'd recommend ordering hot food only as the cold food is just a lesson on laying out cold seafood on a plate with some lettuce. The clams were delicious, though small in portion. The chowder was nice, not amazing. Oysters were delicious. Seafood platter was a little disappointing for the cost, especially as half the "platter" was taken up by two micre-wafer thin slices of smoked salmon laid across the plate.

Have had a few meals here over the past few years and it hasn't let me or my guests down! Good seafood and a fairly large menu to choose from. Lovely setting especially on a fine day.
