Just booked Number 2 for family holiday in April 13. We've been going to Noosa most years since 1996. Always Hastings street, tried three other places 'on the strip', but number 2's location and unit position (top floor) ensures privacy and relative peace and quiet. Our preferred room is a bit dated, but it is clean it is tidy it is comfortable and certainly meets our needs. On-site managers do a good job and are friendly and accommodating. Yes the fee is high but it is Hastings street and as such you do pay for the privilege. Our expectations are realistic and we are quite satisfied.

Room Tip: Up top, river end noosa woods apartment. Quiet, private and comfortable. Our choice every time.

We stayed in Noosa for the weeknd with a group of friends, between us we had two units. A sub penthouse and ground floor river front units.

My initial contact with the place was very good and accommodating. As we wouldnt make it there until after 1730hrs when the reception area was closed, so our friends picked up our keys. The reception was not attended to during the hours displayed. After ringing the bell and waiting someone showed up just before I gave up waiting.

As stated it was a little hard at first and gets really busy around the parking on the weekend when its nice. The rooms parking was tight and extremely awkward to get into as well. Our park was chained off to start with, Im guessing that was to prevent anyone parking down the end.

The ground floor room was very nice. We were quite happy with the decor and the bifold doors out to the balcony. We were pleasantly surprised to find an automated sunshade over the outside table, and we were lucky enough to have the only room with a bbq. Although we were surprised that the unit had a draw as a fridge which left us very little space when staying for the weekend with plans to have a bbq. This fridge draw also had no freezer compartment, well at least one that worked. Luckily our friends had a full sized fridge in their apartment to counter this.

The other apartments only complaint was only Aircon in the main living area meant it was a humid sleep in the bedrooms. Although our ground floor apartment had aircon in each room which was very pleasant.

Room Tip: The ground floor river side apartment would have to be the best, but please realise you dont have mu...

We have stayed on the 3rd level penthouse overlooking the Noosa river for 2 nights. We chose this place because I stayed there one night before and found it to be well placed in a quiet area of Hastings Street.

The clean apartment has everything you need including aircon and is next to the park or wooden end of the Street. Positives are there are additional parking next to the apartments, its just over the road from the beach - lovely short walk to the beach and its half the price of other apartments in Hastings St. Lovely sunsets to watch from the balcony and it also has its own jetty.

Negative is there are no BBQ on site and unfortunately the Council also closed the BBQs in the park.

We will definitely return and recommend the accommodation as value for money in the very expensive Hastings Street.

This is a wonderful location and because of the proximity to a wedding we were attending we booked it. Checked in Thursday and out on Sunday.
Our garden room was being renovated so we had been upgraded to "penthouse". Great.
Then came the dissappointments. This unit was on 2nd floor, so a bit of a climb for late 60s & 70 year olds with luggage. It was not a penthouse, as the noise from above testified. It was in fact what one would expect for a normal 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite.
The "starter pack" included 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 sachet of powder for the dishwasher, 1 for the sink, 1 tea towel. The rooms had no servicing at alland they were a particularly bad layout. Cupboards opening behind doors. The towels were old and there were no face washers. Any more of a product would attract a charge, any clean towels during the 3 days would also be extra.
The office was not attended at the times advertised. The showers were set at a fixed heat. The walls were thin as was the ceiling and the bathrooms were a long way from soundproof.
When we returned on Saturday night there was a laminated note telling us to take out any garbage and put it in the bins, do the washing-up and be sure to dry it and put it away. That left a rather sour note since they had done nothing for us during our stay to make us feel in any way welcome. We raised some of these issues on departure but they were totally disinterested.

No never again at 2 Hastings Street.

Room Tip: I don't think there is one. The view was good, but rooms noisy

We chose a ground floor apartment at No 2 for a three night break in low season on a holiday from the UK.

The apartment was adequate as a place to stay and was generally clean and tidy. Of some disappointment though was the decor which is due to a bit of a makeover and the apartment heating which remained inadequate for the three nights we were there.

The decor could benefit from some upgrading in colour scheme, kitchen cabinetry and appliances and the hearing unit, a ceiling mounted air conditioning / heater unit, struggled to heat the apartment adequately resulting in us sitting on the settee wrapped in a blanket during the evenings . The unit seemed to heat the upper part of the room but not the floor area and was very noisy.

The bedroom relied on heat filtering from the living room as did the bathroom and these rooms were also on the chilly side. It was in the Australian winter but in accommodation of this type our expectation was higher and we expected to feel as comfortable as we would have been at home.

During summer time the heating or cooling might not be such an issue but in extremes of heat or cold it appeared that there might still be a problem. The apartment does not benefit from warming sunlight or sea views so might be considered as a secondary location. particularly in wintertime. In summertime the aspect might be preferred when the dining balcony could be enjoyed sheltered from the hot sunshine.

The location is good at the end of Hastings Street and secured, but tight, parking is an added benefit. Apart from it being ‘just a place to stay’ there was nothing to write home about.

The garaging security gate mechanism was also audible from the apartment so if you like a morning ‘sleep in’ the upper floors might be a better option.

There are numerous accommodation options in Noosa so have a good look around before committing to anything.

my first impression when i got there was ok where is it? there were no signs i could see clearly stating where to come in my dad had to direct me, When he told me where to go i looked at him like are you serious i am in a ford territory i am not going to fit in that car space without scratching my car! and I Tell you i didn't want to move it from there after i parked it in worry i wouldnt get it back in! When i first walked into the penthouse it looked really nice and presentable but as i worked my way round it just wasnt worth $550 for two nights, there was no shower gel or face clothes in the bathroom just soap, 1 tiny thing of milk for two people for two nights we had to go buy milk. I am sorry but i could get luxury and yummy shower gel and awesome views staying at the Sofitel in Melbourne better than the $550 we spent on this apartment so no i would never stay again. Just a heads up to they need to revamp there penthouses when people hear penthouse luxury usually springs to mind not a standard apartment!
