Staying in an apartment up the road, we discovered this restaurant. It is a great find. Returning from dinner in an adjacent restaurant in the complex, we visited on impulse for dessert. Even though the kitchen was to close, we were warmly welcomed and 4 delicious desserts prepared. On the back of this positive experience we booked for dinner the following night. Restaurant wasn’t licensed (not sure if that is under application) and we brought some nice wines to enjoy with dinner. Warmly welcomed (excellent service all night too). The food was 5* and we debated who had the best of each course. The duck dumplings an entrée winner, the lamb, duck and chicken mains all very good and well balanced. Raspberry brulee my choice for best dessert.
Don’t let the small entry put you off – this is definitely up there for a quality local dining experience, different to River Cottage or Wasabi – but quality of food and service is right up there.
Seating tip: if you have a group 4-6… try the booth. Private and comfortable with loads of cushions
