Description: One of the longest running restaurants in Noosa, Cafe Le Monde is arguably one of Hastings Street's most well known restaurant & bars, and has long been a must visit experience when visiting Noosa. With its stylish, yet casual approach, Cafe Le Monde offers alfresco dining in a relaxed environment. In fact there is nothing that says you are in Noosa more than sipping on a cool drink, enjoying a famous Cafe Le Monde Noosa Seafood Platter and watching the world pass you by on Hastings Street as it does at Cafe Le Monde. Ever evolving, Cafe Le Monde has recently been transformed with a new contemporary look. With its relaxed vibe, Cafe Le Monde offers an inviting menu drawing on local and Australian produce. Open for breakfast, lunch, all day good coffee from Clandestino Roasters, dinner, tapas in between and late night drinks, it is a restaurant that offers something for everyone.

We recently ate 3 evening meals at Cafe Le Monde while on holiday in Noosa. The restaurant was always busy but we were able to get a table within 15 minutes of arriving. The food was very good and there is an extensive range of gluten free options on the menu. The only negative comment is the bar service was a bit slow while waiting for a table.

Hi thanks for your post from your visit in January , the taking and managing of bookings is unfortunately compromised by a fair percentage of diners making a booking and then not cancelling if circumstances change , this leaves the restaurateur with diners being turned away in deference to a booking that never shows.

We do at cafe Le Monde take and honour bookings for groups of six and over , often we hold a table for say twelve that has been confirmed in the last day or so and only four actually arrive again resulting in tables going begging….

Hope this gives you insight into the restaurateurs dilemma..we would be overjoyed to have a fully booked restaurant if only the customer upheld their side of the arrangement and to be frank in this day of mobile phones there really is in most circumstances no reason why a quick call to cancel cannot be made in order to free the table up for another hungry diner.

We headed to Cafe Le Monde after struggling to find a seat anywhere else along Hastings Street for lunch. We had eaten there previously and it was ok. We joined the queue and when we reached the front, the staff member said that the wait for a table for 4 would be 40 mins. We could see tables empty in the restaurant. Another member of staff immediately came up and said there was a table available which was a bit puzzling. The waitress who took our order seemed disinterested and bored. Our drinks arrived and the order was wrong, another member of staff fixed that and then the food came out and that order was also incorrect. The chicken salad was missing the chicken and the beef salad was lacking substance. Nice atmosphere but wouldn't be racing back.

Such a disappointing experience. Horrific food that has no right being on a plate let alone a menu for $25+ (inc 15% surcharge to cover the wages for some of the worst staff I've ever seen) - please hire some real chefs who aren't trying to emulate fine dining food from the early 90's. Thats a crappy night and $140 that I'll never get back.

Unbelievable that they charge $11.70 for two large coffees to takeaway on New Year's Day. The coffee attendant two days previously admitted that they make over 400 coffees a day so why the need for a surcharge? Charging $5 normally is taking the p8ss as it is. I am sick of being robbed by these places but what makes me more angry is that people accept it and pay! Time to start acting with our feet Australia and walking away!

Food was of good cafe standard and the wait staff were very nice. Juices are very overpriced at $7. This is a solid choice
