“Good food, Good Service”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

We've been here a few times. The food is always good with an extensive menu to choose from. The service was very attentive and friendly. In Summer it gets a bit warm inside so would recommend a seat on the balcony.

“Best Margaritas in Town!”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

As an avid Margarita fan we came here as needed one after a long day at the beach and a long hike and we weren't disappointed. The jugs of Margaritas were $40 and they were strong..!

The food was actually ok. I have been to the Brisbane ones a few times in my travels and loved it, and this was no exception. Very Americanised Mexican food yet that's sometimes what you want.
The chicken burrito was so big I couldn't eat it and full of chicken breast and wasn't fatty, as was the delicious beef burrito. Such large servings for your dollars.

We came here 3 times and also had the chicken nachos medium plate and some beef taquitos with again a jug of Margaritas and it was a perfect light dinner.

The only negative here is my in laws had to look after our baby as they don't have lift access for a pram, or anyone disabled for that matter. You have to walk up a few stairs so not very good for people with babies or mobility problems.

The staff were a bit odd as well... very RED eyed if you know what I mean. Guess it is a beachy place...

“Good food and service.”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

We ordered takeaways from here and then wished that we had eaten in. The staff were all very courteous, the food was great and best of all it is a bit set back from the street so it was not as busy and noisy and the restaurants directly on Hastings St.

“Just plain dreadful - both service and food”
Reviewed January 15, 2014 via mobile

We chose montezuma's because of its nice looking children's menu, and it has to be said, the girls enjoyed the nachos they chose. That was the only good point.
The waitress apologised 20+mins after we ordered, that she had forgotten to put our order into the kitchen, and it would be 20 mins more. They did at least rush the kids nachos.
Mistakes happen, so while I was annoyed, we sighed and waited. I was surprised that no offer of a free drink or equiv was offered (the sort of thing I had experienced in similar situations in other restaurants).
But the biggest issue was our food when it arrived. I had the mole poblano which involved overcooked, dry chicken in a bland sauce with a banana split in half and a slice of tinned pineapple sprinkled in desiccated coconut. It was, very, very disappointing. My wife's seafood burrito was undercooked with the tiniest scrapping of dried sour cream on top.
When complained about the quality. They said "sorry" but no effort to rectify. Oh. They said they put so little sour cream on the burrito in case people were allergic to it!
Wish I had read the last few trip advisor reviews before we booked!

“tired and bland”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

We've been eating at this restaurant for the past 10 years - first as a couple and for the past 7 years as a family. It's a tradition for us to eat at Montezumas at least once during a Noosa holiday.
Not anymore though... the food is bland, and looks seriously boring on the plate. Very dissappointed.
