Had a post-Noosa-Tri breakfast here. We are locals and have patronised this establishment before on our own and with visitors from overseas. I don't remember the coffee being so bad before.
We ordered cappuccinos and a light breakfast. The coffee will suit those liking a bitter blend.
The staff are friendly and it was quick to get our simple meals.
The tables overlooking Hastings St are very packed in and crowded but fun to socialise with the people at the next table.
If you desire a bit more space, sit around by the plaza you can have a very nice outlook and watch the wanderers go past along Hastings Street.
It is pricey, like most of the eateries in Hastings Street not great value for money but to do this once in awhile is a bit of trendy fun.

We booked a 5:30pm dinner so that we could have a quick but nice family dinner at Aromas, somewhat of a Noosa Icon. I have to say nothing but disappointed. It took at least 40 mins for the entres to arrive and, after waiting at least another 30 mintues for our mains we were told "the kitchen is busy because a number of tables placed their orders at the same time". Give me a break, it was as if they didn't know how to handle an almost full restaurant. Something that no doubt happens most weekends. They did offer some bread to see us through, which was appreciated. We finally had our main courses well over an hour after our entres.

On top of this we ordered a number of drinks, including a bottle of wine, which we ended up cancelling because we had finished our meals and they still had not arrived.

This is not a cheap eats place and as such I think this is quite unacceptable. I definitely won't be going back.

To finish on a positive note ... I want to say that our waiter was nothing but professional and friendly all night long. At least they have great staff!

We went with another couple and had to wait 1.5 hours for the meak to arrive .3 of us ordered the Coq au Vin which was very ordinary .The recommended wine at $55 for the bottle was average to say the least .The fourth person had a steak which they said was good.
The staff were very good, attentive and helpful .
Needles to say we wont be rushing back

Breakfast was quite good. Lots of choices on the menu. Great outlook from dining area. Staff were friendly and very efficient even though it was quite busy. Only bad point was it was quite expensive.

The pancakes are the best (according to my son ) and we love to just sit there with a coffee and watch people. If you don't listen to the conversations you'd think you're in France.... lovely!
