We stayed at apartment (Number 4) during a very special time in our lives. We were getting married. As you can imagine we had a lot of people coming to visit i.e Celebrant, photographer, hairdresser etc. So we needed the place to be spacious and comfortable. I also wanted somewhere special, relaxing and different than your normal hotel. The Lookout ticked all the boxes and more. Not only is it set in a secluded street away from all the hustle and bustle of Hastings Street, it is also set next to the tranquil woods. This is a gem in its self as you get to do a 5 minute beautiful leafy rain forest walk to Hastings Street.
Our apartment was not only spacious, well furnished and well decorated but also had fantastic views from all windows. We were on the ground floor so overlooked the manicured garden that was host to beautiful exotic looking, colourful birds. The main bedroom had the most beautiful view I have ever seen, hosting a view in the distance of Laguna Bay giving way to rolling hills. The view of the sunset from that room was amazing too. The balcony was spacious and not only looked out to the garden as mentioned but you could see the sea from here also.
The kitchen and laundry had all the mod cons and the bathrooms and walk in wardrobe were immaculate.
Donna and Rick were amazing in helping us. We had a special request to use 2 rooms the night before the wedding (superstition dictates!) this was not a problem at all. Donna also came out to wish me luck and waved me off as I went to my wedding. Donna also took hold of and delivered a yummy hamper from friends. We also had assistance as to where to buy our wedding cake (Noosa civic Bakery) when we asked for a recommendation.
Un fortunately I didn't get time to use the pool, gym or BBQ area but all looked amazing and well looked after.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place and plan to visit again within the year or for our 1 year anniversary.

My wife and I arrived during the recent storms/ floods and were re-routed to Brisbane airport, but as soon as we arrived at reception Donna and Rick gave us a great reception on their day off and time to explain everything you need to know. Apartment was so large ,clean and everything functioned perfectly. Views were amazing and we actually enjoyed the rivers more than the ocean. Easy to park , pool superb and clean ( rick on top of that at 7.30am every morning ) . We got our peaceful rest and relaxation over the 7 days we were there. Will be back. .........Neil and Lisa

Room Tip: Level 3 is the way to go for excellent views

My husband and I stayed at the Lookout resort for 3nights in the platinum apartments. It was a special weekend for us as we were celebrating my husbands 30th Birthday. Rick and Donna from the Lookout resort made this experience even more special and unforgettable. Words can not describe the views from our apartment.......everything so peaceful. The apartment was breathtaking......it was way above our expectation.......with top of the range furnishings with a romantic atmosphere. Rick and Donna were so accommodating from the start, even before we got there. We reached Noosa around 9pm. There was no hassle to get in the highly secure undercover car park as everything was pre-arranged by Donna and Rick. All we had to do was open a safe to collect the keys and remote control. Next morning Donna and Rick spent a considerable amount of their time guiding us through of the "things to do" brochures at the reception and making bookings for us at no extra cost. If you love nature and want a peaceful environment, Lookout Resort is the place to be. Hasting street is a short stroll down from the Lookout. This place was perfect to boost our passion for photography.
We went to bed listening to the ocean and woke up with the beautiful chirping of exotic forest birds. Thank you Rick and Donna for making my husbands 30th Birthday extra special. Can't wait to stay there again.

The resort is perfect, for the price is a bargain, we stayed in Unit 10 which looks like it has just been renevated and far exceeded expectations in terms of funiture. The views are incredible, we were on level 2 and faced both the ocean and the river. The pool is always warm, unlike some resorts i have heard of, and the spa is always hot.

The BBQ facilities are great and there is a place to eat by the pool but why would you with the views.

The gym has everything you could want, and its 3 minutes and 20 seconds to the shops down in hasting street, we had a pram and the little boy loved riding down the stairs through the rain forest to get there, but you can walk around the path if you want as well.

The staff were also fantastic at the resort and great to chat with about the area and things to do

Will be back for sure!

Room Tip: We stayed in unit 10, which is in the middle on level 2, you get perfect views of the sea and river...

Fantastic apartments fully equiped for self catering . Beautiful setting and gardens . Great pool . Very well maintained and clean complex . Top end apartment great value . We paid $200 per night for a 1 bed apartment , Best spot in noosa - high on the hill, lovely breezes on hot days . We'd go again.

I stayed at the Lookout with work colleagues when we traveled to Noosa for business. Because of that, our priorities are always a good night sleep, quiet location and easy access.

Overall the property is fine, the rooms were big (we had apartment 5) and clean, with all the amenities you need in a self service apartment. It was a little dated, but looking at the other photos the apartments are all quite different. The walk to Hastings St is via a LOT of steps, which was okay for us but people with children or older guests may struggle. It is also quite a distance to the beach.

I had a few issues which impacted on our stay, but may not for others:
- The pool doesn't open until 7am which was annoying when we had to be off for work early. Without daylight savings, the sun is up so early, it would be nice to take advantage of it with an early morning swim. The pool and spa area is lovely and very well maintained.
- the beds in our room were like sleeping on wooden planks, they were so hard! We sleep in a lot of different hotels, these were some of the worst matresses we have come across.
- the pillows were terrible, small and flat
- the towels are also small and scratchy
- the sound from the apartments upstairs and next door travels quite badly, can be a bit noisy

Our biggest concern was one of safety in the car park. When we checked in we were given one remote which opens the underground car park. You need to open the gate with the remote when you enter and exit the park. One night we were there my colleague needed to get the car out but I had the key with the remote. Long story short, there is no way of getting a car OUT of the carpark without a remote!

She tried ringing the owners but they were offsite and there is no emergency exit button. I was able to get back to the hotel to get her out, but if had been urgent we would have had a huge problem. I know this sounds like a small issue, but it really worried us. What if your remote battery ran out or you needed to get out in an emergency and noone was around with one? It seemed very strange that there is no other way to get the gate open.

Overall, our stay was fine. We would probably select somewhere different next time, closer to Hastings St.
