Today my sister and I, both over 60, ent the best day ever aboard the 4wd one day trip to Fraser Island. We had no idea what to expect but we thoroughly appreciated the skills of our driver, Henning, and his knowledge of the island and it's history. It was a fantastic day with a delicious BBQ lunch at lake Mckenzie and lots to see along the way. The ride was certainly bumpy and we came close to getting stuck a couple of times but that is all part of the experience. The tide was up on the way back preventing our return journey along the beach so the challenging inland mining road was the alternative route back to the barge crossing. The beaches, coloured sands and rain forests were spectacular and we would certainly recommend this trip.

We were looking for a boat trip and found this by pure chance. We went on the afternoon Everglades trip to Harrys Hut. Our genial kipper provided a good commentry to the sights and sounds. Afternoon tea at Harrys Hut was most welcome and included in the price.

Highly recommended

We went on a two day trip to Fraser Island. After a little mess with the pickup we started one hour delayed. After that everything became very good, because of our guide and driver Stu. He told us many interesting facts and nice Storys. Resort was ok but bot well organized. Meals were good. Its a very good way to explore Fraser Island, if you don't want to drive a 4wd by yourself.
Very special thanks to Stu for those two wonderfull days.

We booked a one day trip to Fraser with the discovery group and had a good time at the island. Ed, our guide, know his business very well and we got to know a lot about the islands history and fascination while he was highly entertaining. But the very best thing about the discovery group we did experienced after the Fraser Trip. There was a missunderstanding about the drop-off location and so we ended up beeing in Noosa, instead of Rainbow Beach, where we had booked a double room and all our private stuff including our money and credit cards was stored.
Ed informed the discovery group management and back in Noosa, James took care of us, trying to find a solution to get us back to Rainbow Beach. Unfortunately there was no public transfer, no Greyhound or Premier Bus going at that time and while waiting at the tour operation center, we didn't know what to hope for. But James surprised us, having arranged a kind of a full package for us. He found the last 2 free beds in Noosa's best hostel Halse Lodge and he organized us to be picked-up early in the morning by a another tour to Fraser. This comes with the extra bonus of taking us to Tin Can Bay for dolphin feeding first, before they drop us off in Rainbow Beach. And they haven't charged us anything at all. Everything worked out so well and even if we only had our day-pack with us, we enjoyed our extra night in Noosa a lot. Thanks a lot to James and the discovery group team for being extremely helpful and making this night in Noosa very special. We won't forget.

We were totally impressed by the Fraser Island discovery tour as they go out of their way to ensure that everyone has a wonderful experience in this sandy heritage listed wilderness.
Enjoying the vehicular ferry ride to the Island is the start of a tour that takes you along the most delightful beaches before heading inland to Lake McKenzie.
A swim before lunch where porterhouse steaks, barramundi fillets and sausages were on offer.
A sighting of the occasional dingo in the bush and on the beaches added to the excitement.
The rough ride through the sand dunes and rainforest areas is very much part of the adventure.
The day is capped off by a visit to Rainbow Beach and the Teewah Beach coloured sands.
Request Robert's Warrior tour - you wont be disappointed.
