“Very authentic fantastic food”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We have been here a few times now and just love it. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, it just has the best feel about it.
The pasta is freshly made and devine. I had the salmon fettacinni which was beautiful.
This restaurant is also byo which is a bonus.
Seating is inside and out and if its a nice night I'd certainly suggest an outside seat.
Thank you Ipazzi we will be back again:)

“Proper sophisticated Italian food in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.”
Reviewed March 24, 2013 via mobile

Dropped in for spur if the moment dinner. We were very well looked after. Food was incredible.

Best pizza I have ever eaten

Even the kids meals were proper pasta. Our hostess Lucy was delightful.

“Palatial orgasm!”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

Wow, this is what real authentic Italian food is all about .... I was so impressed with the food, and I ordered dishes that I wouldnt usually be interested in.... The mains, the desserts, and the the service were all stunning .... I must give a special mention to the Italian hot chocolate to finish things off..... I could have devoured litres of this stuff.... Like an angel dancing on my tongue! Do yourself a favour and visit Ipazzi...... 10/10 !

“It didn't work for us”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

This place has excellent reviews and we had wanted to go here for ages. Something was amiss and it wasn't a good experience. We missed out on front of restaurant seats and sat right at the back at the minutest table that was crowded with an enormous candle and other bits and pieces before the food even arrived. It was so poky and crowded we were subject to the conversation from a neighbouring table that was less than desirable and intensely personal. We had the bruschetta which was rather the same as I do at home, nothing at all to distinguish it as Italian, Sicilian or anything else, then one gnocchi (a very full plate, didn't look particularly appetising and was really 'waded through') and the Fettucine marinara. This dish was ordered with the so called home made pasta alternative for which we were charged extra. The fettucine was far too thick and was a little undercooked so quite spoilt the dish and I don't recommend paying the extra for this. We both left some of our food. I know the food is organic here and sourced from the best, but we don't really want to come again. I noticed the pizzas were absolutely enormous (need to share?) and other pasta dishes were as overflowing on the plates as well. To some (us) this is offputting.

Hello there,
We absolutely understand your point of view.
So many excellent reviews can't be ignored when chosing a restaurant. Maybe you were expecting a sophisticated ambience, overlooking the ocean...maybe because of our excellent reviews you imagined to be served extra small portion in super large plates sitting on gigantic table far away from your neightbours...likely for us we decided to focus instead more on quality then not on presentation, we decided to serve the best authentic italian dishes the same way you would find in Italy. And we decided to use organic because it is better, keeping prices affordable for locals wich come back on a weekly base.
May be these are some of the reasons why the restaurant was so crowded on the quitest month of the year.
P.S. about your comment on our pizza size, it is a standard one; the only difference is in the lightness of the dough and quality of the ingredients, maybe that is why 9 out of 10 customers eat the entire pizza after an entree and finish with a Italian dessert.
best regards
Ruby and Fabio
