Noosa is a great place to visit any time of the year. We have stayed at a number of different hotels/apartments over the years and believe that the Outrigger Little Hastings Street is amongst the best of them. We stayed for eight nights in a one bedroom apartment that had all of the facilities that you could ask for. The room was extremely well presented, well appointed and clean. The staff appear to take pride in their work and were happy to assist with any request. The breakfast package was great value and plentiful. All dietary requirements could easily be met with such a great range of fresh produce at hand. We took up an option to hire the electric bikes for a day. They were tremendous fun and enabled us to explore the greater Noosa area with very little effort. All up we spent six hours on the bikes and felt like we could have done the same all over again. The pools and gym were terrific. All up the resort is a winner and we'll be back.

Thank you so much! Wow – two mentions today about the electric bikes. These Pedego bikes are the rage with celebrities over in California and we certainly understand why. Our facebook photos have been shared across the Pedego sites and we’re loving it. What a fantastic way to explore Noosa, Noosaville and Tewantin.

I am pleased you enjoyed your holiday with us. Our breakfast team have been quick to point out your comments to me on this forum – they very much appreciate the acknowledgement.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We had the pleasure of staying at Outrigger over 4 days during the most amazing winter weather. We went swimming everyday and had the most wonderful break!!! The resort was perfect – excellent location, beautiful room and great staff (particularly the concierge, Adam who really took care of us!). We will always have very fond memories of our mini escape and would highly recommend to all. Will return next time with the kids but don’t expect it will be quite as peaceful ;-)

Hello and thank you.

Yes, Adam is a star and we all tell him that too!

I’ve just responded to another review about the pools. Unfortunately they found them too cold. Whilst follow up didn’t show us any reasons why, and now your comments suggest they were OK, I’m hoping it was some winter rain during their stay – sounds like you manage the perfect winter weather during yours.

Oh, and kids are all good! Our nieces love the buggy ride and were lucky enough to see Jack, our koala when they visited last. Perhaps time the trip back from the beach with the buggies as carrying one of them back up to the resort was a bit much for this “young” uncle.

We look forward to welcoming you (and the kids) back soon

The Outrigger is a short walk to Hastings Street, set in the beautiful surrounds of the Queensland flora. There are pools, gyms and a steam room. The Outrigger caters for both couples and families. The appartments are fully equipt with kitchens and there is a nice resturant to dine at if you don't want to cook. A golf buggy can take you most of the distance up and down the hill to hastings Street at various times. We had a great time at the Outrigger and would stay there again.

Room Tip: If you want to be near a pool you could request that but beware if there are loud children you will...

We stayed at the Outrigger for 5 nights recently.
When we arrived we had a good welcome at reception,
our room was good we had a one bedroom apartment in the national park,
but... we didn't sleep very well the whole time, the pillows were really uncomfortable, to use one was to thin and squashy and to use two was horrible as well, needed thicker pillows! and there is no duvet on the beds,
just thin blankets which didn't keep us warm, we had to have the heat on full
and loud which I hate to be warm at this time of year.
The first day we arrived we went down to the pool, looking forward to a swim etc,
but the pool was freezing! obviously not heated! and a Spa would have been nice.
Breakfast was good, But with the restaurant, we got a voucher for two drinks on arrival,
we went to the bar the first night and the guys snapped at us and told us we
have to have a full meal to use them, wasn't a good start, that was fine but he didnt have to be so rude about it and it had no conditions on the vouchers anywhere! they also advertise two for one cocktails, so we decided one night to go and have some, when we went to look at the cocktail menu the girl said we could choose one each, the guy turned around in front of us and yelled at the waitress saying no they had to be the same! Made us feel really uncomfortable and we felt sorry for the girl, you could see the tension between them the whole night. They also told us we had to book for tea later that night otherwise we wouldnt get a table, so we booked a table as it was raining and we didnt want to drink and drive to elsewhere, but there is no way we needed to book, it was dead! The whole feeling and service of the restaurant there was just awful!

Your review on this public forum appreciated and it is unfortunate the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly whilst you were with us did not present. We strive to achieve distinctive hospitality and service and sincere apologies are offered for the position we have placed you in as you describe. Despite this employee’s 23 year career as a waiter, respected employee and strong local Noosa local customer following we have addressed your concerns and worked through the scenario with him.
I would welcome direct contact outside of this forum should you wish to discuss in any further detail. Otherwise, I offer assurances the matter has been addressed on property and hope we are able to welcome you back in the future; the opportunity to present our usual levels of service delivery that is so frequently referred to within this forum would be most appreciated.

Booked 3 nights at the last minute and found a great on-line price. I phoned reservations and they beat it by a further $10.00 per night.
Surprised to find on checked-in that we also received an upgrade from hotel room to a one bedroom unit.
The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Saved a few dollars by using the toaster etc for breakfast each day.
We knew that this is not on Hastings Street and is up Little Hastings Street. It's about an easy 4 minute walk down the hill to Hastings Street and the beach. The hill is not too steep, but if you can't walk that distance or the hill itself, they have a courtesy golf buggy that goes up and down the hill.
Speaking to the friendly reception staff, unfortunately a few guest don't do their research before booking and staying and don't realise that 1. There is a bit of a hill and 2. It's not on the beach.
It's very quite and in a great location if you want to be 400-500 metres away from Hastings Street. We'll be back!!!

Outrigger Resort exceeded some expectations & didn't meet others. It is much closer to Hastings St than I had realised based on other reviews, it's only a 5 minute walk downhill, and golf buggys run for those feeling less energetic. We had a 1 bedroom apartment, which was great, separate lounge room from bedroom, bathroom & laundry - washer and dryer came in handy for wet weather. Large balcony & fully equipped kitchen.
Only downsides were probably based on my own expectation, I thought it would be a luxurious place, and that it wasn't. It was practical, but not romantic. The hotel restaurant/ bar lacked character, and the breakfast buffet was chaos while we were there. And little things in the rooms would really add - a clothes hanger to hang out wet swimmers/ beach towels on the balcony, for example. Overall though, the staff was friendly, the room was clean, and we had a great time.

Good morning and thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts on this forum.

Unfortunate to read we didn’t quite meet your expectations, however, I’m not really sure how to respond against what you have written. Luxury is certainly a highly personal perspective.

About this time last year I was introduced to a document on Luxury: The Future Laboratory Five Stages of Luxury. Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa – practical not romantic – perhaps; more so, as quoted from the aforementioned study Luxurians at this stage seek brands they can trust, with which they can have a dialogue, and develop and enjoy a relationship that is meaningful, intimate and increasingly altruistic. It is this fourth stage that perhaps best reflects this eco-designed resort, shoe horned against the Noosa National Park staffed with individuals who genuinely look to deliver distinctive hospitality and value.

We look forward to welcoming you back when next you visit Noosa.
