I stayed here 3 nights for a work conference. It is a very relaxed and clean resort, however, the distance down the hill to Hastings Street is a short but steep walk. Now, this is not a bad thing as the hotel provides a buggy service half way down, but you still have to walk another 5mins to the restaurants/shops. I love walking and love my exercise, but for the ones who prefer not to have to walk up and down a hill daily, well, you may not enjoy this.
Other than that, the apartments are clean and tidy and very spacious.
There are a couple of pools within the resort but the pool that is best for kids is perhaps a little on the small side. Just saying.
Overall, a great place for us as we were in conference (of which the conference rooms are great).

Room Tip: Personally, I liked the rooms that faced west so you could sit on your spacious balcony in the late...

Entry to the Outrigger Noosa is down a steep drive, National Park on your left, grey austere medium rise accommodation, set in landscaped gardens to your right.

We checked in a little early so our room was not ready. We were however able to park in the uncover area (a big tick considering the hot conditions). It is an easy walk down to town but be prepared for the hill on the return journey – though not difficult for anyone of average fitness. Reception did call to let us know when our room was ready (before official check in time!).

The exterior of the accommodation blocks are quite institutional looking and the view from our room was straight across a road into someone else’s unit. Not great! The floor plan however was excellent and the unit was clean and roomy. The king size bed was lovely, but the spa bath had room for only one person. Water pressure was high but the shower leaked and consequently the floor and bathmat were soaked.

Breakfast was included in our deal and it was brilliant! A huge variety including our favourite - smoked salmon, and a cooked greens mixture of spinach, zucchini, etc etc, very much appreciated and so rarely seen on hotel breakfasts.

The only real disappointment was the small size of the resort pool. It was very crowded and there were insufficient sun loungers. A resort this size should have a couple of pool areas! Also, keep the kids out of the gym – it is difficult to use a treadmill when you have a kid playing on the one alongside you.

RECOMMENDATIONS
• Walk/run along the seafront and National Park early in the morning – just stunning!
• Cocktails at Catos are a must.
• La Vida is a pricey (but isn’t everything in Noosa?), but lovely, dining experience, especially if you can get an outside table.
• Avoid Rococo – poor service coupled with parts of our meal missing

Three reviews in a row commenting on breakfast; with brilliant, hearty and excellent respectively, our Executive Chef and his new Breakfast Chef will be most pleased on the reviews.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on this forum and your recommendations will no doubt influence others reading through these reviews. Given you enjoyed the breakfast, I’m curious if you made it to View on Little Hastings for dinner? Starting with a cocktail on the Terrace Lounge overlooking Laguna Bay is a must do when staying at the resort. Then wandering in at leisure for dinner, experiencing Chef’s extraordinary summer menu and then an easy stroll back to your apartment is an ideal dining option when in Noosa.

We stayed here for only one night, but would have stayed longer given the chance. The resort was beautiful and quiet, only a short walk to the main street in Noosa, and our balcony overlooked the national park. The room/apartment were nice, but could have used some love on the cleaning side of things. Entering your room to find fingerprints of the previous guests is not very welcoming. Any male guests need not panic....It is hearty breakfast buffet.

...and panic we do!

What a great way to start the morning. I had not thought of a product proposition aimed at males and hearty breakfasts but have taken great amusement in your comments. Thank you.

Apologies for any oversight with housekeeping; we are fortunate to have a team of housekeepers who do take great care and they will be devastated to rad comments of this nature on this forum.
We look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy a few more nights when next you are in Noosa.

Thanks again.

My husband and I stayed here in November 2012 for seven nights in a one bedroom apartment. We love Noosa and try to get here once every two years, this time we thought we would try the relatively new Outrigger. While the apartment is nice and modern, it does look a little cheap like a fantastic furniture display room. The bathroom was so small with a laundry in it that when you opened the shower door it hit the washing machine, plus they advertised it as a large bathroom with a bath. We had no bath - which I was very disappointed about. We did choose the resort view apartment so we were not expecting a great view but our balcony was directly across from the 24 hour reception/restaurant which meant we had no privacy to sit out there and it was extremely noisy. I suggest if possible to pay extra for a native forest view. The hotel has a lap pool and a main resort pool, however, the main pool is very small with about 8 loungers available for an extremely large hotel housing hundreds of quests. So despite getting there early every morning we often could not get a lounger, so when paying this price it was not what we expected. Especially when other much smaller resorts have bigger pools with more loungers. The lap pool also only had five loungers all taken each day with families not swimming. Not good enough for a five star hotel. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and the daily breakfast was excellent. I loved all of the wildlife that we past on the walk down the hill into Hastings St, which is not far at all - it only took us 5 minutes and I was 27 weeks pregnant at the time. I would suggest to look at other accommodation in Noosa, either on Hastings St or apartments right on the beach as I think the Outrigger was overpriced for the room quality and over populated for the pool size. But Noosa is still beautiful!

Hello and thank you for your review.

The tricky part about this forum is how do I respond to comments on matters we are unable to address without sounding condescending or irrational. So on this occasion I’ll choose not to address comments about the room category chosen on purchase decision, size of pools, behaviour of other guests or the AAA star rating scheme as most have been addressed at length within this forum.

Instead, I take the opportunity to thank you sincerely for the recognition of our service delivery. We have amazing staff who truly enjoy their interaction with our guests and it is the emotional experience most guests take away with them that provides the decision to return (ok, and maybe the food).

Whilst certainly respecting your suggestion to look elsewhere for accommodation in Noosa on Hastings Street or directly on the beach, this is predominantly the reason guests choose to stay at Outrigger Little Hastings Street Resort and Spa as it is away from the noise, traffic congestion and crowds.

both taken back by how attentive the staff were, friendly, and anticipating our needs. The unit was beautiful with an enormous balcony, location great too but service the highlight. thanks guys!

We stayed here recently for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! After some shocking accommodation in Surfers Paradise we were hopeful that Outrigger could put on a good show for us and we weren't disappointed! They had remembered we were on our honeymoon and congratulated us at check in plus left a card in our room AND upgraded us for free! The check in staff and concierge were incredibly helpful and friendly! The room was spotless and very modern with all the mod cons. The lap pool was great as there were no screaming children up there, there was hardly anyone at all up there!! The breakfast was the best I've ever had and the location was fantastic. It was very close to the main street but not so close that you had to put up with all the noise from Hastings Street.

We absolutely loved this place and intend to go back there again next year. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

What a pleasure to welcome in some well travelled Canadians on your honeymoon. Congratulations again and we wish you all the best on your travels together.

Having travelled from Guelph in 92 (and choosing not to return to the task of shovelling snow) I look forward to welcoming you back next year and perhaps sharing a few horror travel stories with you then.

I am so very fortunate to have a team of incredible staff across all departments and I will be sure to extend your thoughts to all of them.

Thank you, safe travels and we look forward to welcoming you back to Noosa next year.

We were here for 4 days and enjoyed our stay. Our one bedroom apartment was modern, clean and tidy. There was also a spacious bathroom which had a washing machine & dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen. The resort itself was quiet and well run. There is a (expensive) restaurant on site. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The resort has a main pool and a couple of lap pools. The main pool is quite large but not much seating for sunbathing. Noosa is a 10-15 minute walk although the buggy ride to Hastings Street was very useful on some very hot days. Having a car, which we did, means you can get out and see a lot more of Noosa & Noosaville. There is no free WiFi here which is disappointing and continues the trend of a lot of 5 star hotels. I can't understand why more moderately priced hotels can offer free WiFi but not 5 star hotels. The Outrigger is a very nice resort and I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.

Hello and thank you for your great review.
Given your query, the reason we are required to make use of a third party wifi provider is that the complex is a strata complex (ie all individually owned lots) so there is no one owner or operator to provide it. Outrigger manages the internal lot space on behalf of the individual owners (ie taking holiday bookings). The Body Corporate could investigate the option but everything will reflect on return on investment. As the world changes more rapidly from corporate users requiring wifi to everybody using wifi I’m sure this topic will become more of a priority to all parties involved.
That’s for raising the issue and I look forward to letting you know outcomes when next you stay again.
