“Great location, pleasant resort, some reservations...”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

I recently stayed in a 3 bedroom Hastings apartment on the 2nd floor with 4 friends.

The resort is at the end of Hastings St quite close to the river and is very well located for shopping and for walking to restaurants etc. It's lovely to be able to stroll down the street to take your pick of several restaurants. The apartment was very clean and pleasantly furnished, the kitchen is well stocked with plates, glasses, cutlery etc and has a dishwasher. It was serviced each morning and fresh towels were provided and the bed made. There is only a Microwave/Convection oven , not a normal oven.

The booking process was straightforward and the reception is manned all day until about 4.30 pm. We were provided with card/keys which are necessary to open all the exterior doors of the resort, including the back gate to the beach and also need to be used in the lift and to exit/enter the garage. The security of the resort is excellent.

There is a secure undercover parking area with one car space per unit. This is arranged in an L shape and access to the end of the "L" is very tight, if you have a large car and the first section of the car park is full, you may have to maneouver quite a bit to park.

The airconditioing is excellent but is not ducted into the third bedrrom. This room and the second bedroom have ceiling fans. The main bedroom has ducted air but no fans.

The bathrooms are fresh and clean with plenty of cupboard space. The shower in the main bathroom ran hot and cold for no apparent reason?

There is a nice pool and spa area at the beachfront end of the resort with plenty of recliners, umbrellas and chairs, as well as a BBQ and a outdoor dining table. The pool , which is only moderately sized, was at a very pleasant temperature and the spa was heated.

My reservations lie with the layout of the 3 bedroom Hastings apartment. The bulk of the apartments have private balconies facing the ocean. However, our apartment was located at the streetfront end of the resort with a very small private balcony facing out to Hastings street ( with a small table and 2 chairs) . This balcony is off the kitchen.

The lounge area of the apartment has a set of sliding glass doors which are the main entrance to the apartment, These doors face out to the rear of the resort with a view past all the other apartments to the ocean ( which can be viewed distantly between trees). Immediately outside the sliding doors is a wide public accessway for guests to access the lift and to walk past to their apartments. A section of this pathway has been screened off with a low glass barrier to provide a pseudo balcony for our apartment. There is room in this enclosure for a 6 seater outdoor table. It is an OK spot to sit with a glass of wine and to look down towards the ocean BUT you are essentially sitting in a public pathway with the lift well immediately to your right. If you prefer a private balcony this may be an issue for you.

The main living areas ( lounge/dining) of the apartment are a bit gloomy as the wide verandah in front of the lounge doesn't let in the best light, and in the dining area there is only a glass brick window which faces out to the enclosed public hallway. The kitchen, however is very bright and light.

For a weekend, the gloomy living area and the odd balcony weren't really a problem for us as we were out and about a lot BUT if I was staying longer I would have definitely preferred to stay in one of the other apartments with a more conventional layout.

Room Tip: 3 Bedroom Hasting apartment Room 206 doesn't have a private balcony

We spent 4 nights at the beautifully appointed Maison Noosa Apartments. At the end of Hastings St it was relaxing and surprisingly noise quiet for the busy Xmas holiday period. The apartments were stylish, modern and very private with the louvred window/doors. The view of the beach, it's proximity to the park and walkway along Noosa river and also Hasting St shops was very good as we simply parked the car for the week and walked everywhere easily. The staff were gorgeous and very accommodating - we left a couple of clothing items on our check out and within 2 days they arrived back to our home - their standard of service is very high. We want to go back and re-live this gorgeous Maison Noosa experience again soon - thank you to them - we shall return!

We've just spent 8 nights in Apartment 301 at Maison Noosa. It's a simply arranged, but tastefully decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, with a drop dead gorgeous, million dollar view of Laguna Bay and the beach. The apartment is toned in simple, bland beige, with comfy furniture and a dining table for 6. The knock out feature is bi-fold windows, the whole length of the apartment. Open them up, and let the surprisingly loud sound of waves crashing come in.
There's also a good size balcony with sun bed and outdoor dining table for 6.
The Meile kitchen is quite well equiped with plates and cutlery for 8, several large platter for the essential main course salads, a dishwasher and washing machine.
Maison is at the quiet end of Hasting Street, which also happens to be the end of the beach with a good sandy beach for kids to play on. (Follow the board walk south and you'll find beach erosion has taken away all the beach and just left the stunning waves.)
Staff were very helpful (thanks Leah), but after the first couple of hours when we had several questions, we really didn't need them.
A handy tip: Coles is up the hill in Noosa Junction (a $10 taxi fare), but you can shop on-line an d have it delivered.
We'll be back!

Room Tip: All the rooms have different furnishings because they are individually owned, so check out the websi...

I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Maison at Noosa. And while still fresh, I wanted to detail my appreciation of such a beautiful town, short holiday destination and wonderful accomodation.

My choice was based on a) beachfront b) quality of accomodation. I really wanted a luxurious and carefree holiday and to experience the best of Noosa.

Staying 5 days at Maison was a fabulous. I booked and stayed in apartment 209. A beachront 1 bedroom apt with balcony. The apartment was beatuifully appointed. Simple, exceptionally clean, exceptionally well maintained (thank you Roger and Monica) and contained everything you would want for a comfortable and carefree stay.

I was looked after very well by Leah who booked my stay, provided an early check in when I arrived and made sure that I knew the staff at Maison were there to assist in anyway.
I was happy from the moment I entered the apartment.

The little things I loved: amazing shower pressure, pristine bathroom, wonderful king size bed that I wanted to take home with me it was so comfortable, fully functional and very clean kitchen, you can hear the ocen from every room in the apt, balcony provided views and privacy, I was given late check out to give me time to take in my last moments of bliss before leaving back for Sydney.

All the staff took care of me...Simone, Leah, Roger...very attentive and responsive. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and I look forward to returning next year. I think same apt, same time...can't wait.

Room Tip: Stay ocean front on 2nd or 3rd floor.

The one bedroom apartment that I stayed in was very luxurious, high quality fittings, very clever use of space and light, apartment could have come out of Vogue living magazine. Location superb,at the beach, walk to the national park, restaurants, private location but beach frontage.
Have stayed at Noosa on a number of occasions over the years either with partner and/or family and by far the best location, apartment and service I have experienced. Looking forward to a re-visit.

Room Tip: One bedroom unit I, I stayed in was 308,

This is the first time I have stayed at Maison Noosa but it won't be the last. We had some friends from the UK coming with us, so I wanted the accommodation to be first rate, and it was. We had the two bedroom beachfront apartment with the wonderful bi fold windows onto the beach view. The living area was very spacious and beautifully furnished. The kitchen was very well equipped, we were missing a bottle opener and one was quickly found for us. Second twin bedroom two was quite compact, but then they usually are. More than two coat hangers are needed for two people for five nights though, luckily we had brought our own with us. I hadn't stayed at this end of Hastings Street before but it was only a two minute walk to be in the centre of things and much quieter for bedtime. We used the pool more than we would normally do as there were jellies in the ocean,This is a boutique hotel right on the beach so there aren't a lot of sunbeds and shades although when were there in November it wasn't crowded. Just loved this place, heartily recommend it.

Thank you for sharing your experience at our beautiful resort. Just the fact that you have stayed with us twice now confirms our consistency on delivery of service and quality accommodation. It’s a key indicator on us meeting and exceeding our guest’s expectations.

You can feel like you are on a remote island when staying with us at the quieter end of the street and yet you are right in the heart of all the shops, restaurants and cafe’s of Hastings St. Our Beachfront apartments are well appointed, comfortable and clean.

Thank you again and we look forward to having you back for many more holidays.

Take care
